So glad we were in Birmingham over the weekend and able to visit the farmers market. It’s full of a lot of great vendors with all kinds of products, fresh produce and meats. The only minor drawback was the number of big dogs. Even though they’re required to be leashed, you can’t stay away from them entirely because of the crowd you’re navigating.

I adore quirky little shops like this with a diverse collection of genuinely unique, one of a kind treasures! Everything from vintage collectibles/toys, a wide range of vinyl you won’t find just anywhere, rare old books, some truly beautiful antique jewelry pieces... virtually anything you can imagine, you’re likely to unearth it here, and for impressively affordable prices! The owner is an absolutely precious gentleman who always greets his customers with a warm smile, friendly conversation, and often a fascinating tale either from his past or regarding one of the many seemingly forgotten valuables from the past!

I highly recommend treating yourself with a visit- and do yourself a favor- carve out a fair amount of time so you can properly reward yourself by being able to explore all the little nooks and crannies within, and the fascinating memories and relics you only thought you’d forgotten!

Great selection of antiques and collectibles, large and small. Lots to look at, so plan enough time to see all the booths. Looking forward to going back!

Fabulous store!! So much to see! Plan on spending a couple of hours here. I saw so many wonderful antiques. The prices were a bit too high in my opinion but there are some amazing items here.

Every fruit or vegetable one could ever want and at prices per bulk you cannot beat at the grocery store.

Really enjoyed visiting this antique mall. The booths were well curated and priced. Lots of room to walk and a nice ladies' room. Definitely going back.

The Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts (AEIVA) is a UAB facility that is home to the Art and Art History department and three University galleries. There is a lecture hall (64 seats, but can expand into lobby for additional seating). When you enter the building you are in the atrium/lobby area. The parking lot is by permit only, but you can obtain a free temporary parking permit in the lobby. The exhibitions and events are free. On our visit there were two galleries in use:
Mary Frances WhitfieldL /Why? from May 31 - November 23, 2019 and Hank Williams Thomas: Unbranded from May 31 - August 10, 2019

Go in, get some peanuts and look around. Go out, eat peanuts. Repeat.
It’s close to the train station. Basically just a small store. Small bag of peanuts is 3 dollars
