    Got LUCKY, meet a group of Zhuang and Miao People celebrating their holiday.
    An Ordinary ancient town, food here is overpriced, especially after the Re-open of China tourism. But I’m lucky enough to meet these local Zhuang and Miao People to celebrate their traditional holiday. Order a beer in this Bar and support the local business.

    Better than some say well worth the visitt
    Butterfly Spring appears a bit tacky from the outside but the underground well lit caves are a beauty to go through. Some comment on it being a tourist trap - and in a way they are right - it is a tourist attraction and like all in every part of the world are designed to part you from extra money - but this is a gem to be seen and well worth the effort and is not far from Guilin. I loved it and I was a solo New Zealander with no Chinese language, and still found it worth the effort. Why else go to China if no to immerse and experience.s e

    Another place from yesterworld that's going to be wrecked by rampant tourism.
    A small town which can be covered in it's entirety in 1 hour's leisurely walk.

    Across the river, settlements of enthusiastic AirBnB and motel developers are cropping up at a rampant pace.

    The key things are the spectacular views along the Li River (including the 20 yuan note view), Bamboo boat rides to Nine Horse Hill and possibly the cormorant fishermen.

    Walking is enjoyable. Electric ferry cars are a plenty and they don't cost much (you can bargain as they always start with an inflated prices for tourists).

    Tricky to find path and it’s sketchy but well with it
    Took a while to find the path - go up concerte steps heading to massage place - keep going up and the turn left into dirt trail (see pics below)

    It’s a big of a scramble and not for tourists without the right shoes and cab hike steep slippery terrain - we went day after rain and it was super slick

    Well worth the trek - view from top is spectacular

    Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!
    We stumbled upon Jiuxian by accident one day while exploring via motorbike and stopped a while to wander around. This is a very small village with traditional style buildings. It's a great place to wander around and take photos and to stop for a meal at one of the cool guesthouses. Secret Garden or Rural House are both great choices for food. I bet it would be a cool area to stay the night; just be sure you have transportation.

    If you like trees
    Maybe if you like trees, and have some time to kill it is worth the stop. The entry is not more than 20RMB, and it is a really cool tree.

    Beautiful sunset - a must if you like great view point.
    One of the best view I saw in yangshuo area. We went for sunset.
    You have a 360 panoroma. Very impressive .

    Good, relaxing intro to the scenery in Guilin
    Took a 3 segment tour and this ride in the Li river (漓江）was the first of the afternoon activities. The rafts were motorized and only able to take 4 passengers on each craft.

    The total ride about 90 mins and you will end at the same place that you depart. The ride was scenic and relaxing. Recommended if you have time and are in the vicinity of Yangshuo.

    Only visit if you have a great deal of free time
    The Banyan tree is huge, but it is not worth making a special trip just to see the tree. The rest of the park is just typical Yangshuo scenery, beautiful but not extraordinary. If you go, be prepared to see lots of vendors and tourist groups.
