The view is amazing, and although the angle of the cable car wire defies science its not at all a scary ride! Food and shops at the top and a helipad for flights round Christ and the mountain

Having done a walking tour of central Rio, I saw this tram cross the Lapa arches and throught it looked a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. Easy walk to the station (with Google Maps), no queues, no waiting, straight on the tram. I decided to ride it up and the straight back down (you have to stand up to let the staff flip the seats but you don't need to get off). Not quite as good as the trams in Lisbon but you get some lovely views on the way up.

It's a good means of transportation. It's sad that you see people getting into VLT and don't validate the ticket. The ticket machine doesn't accept foreign debit or credit cards. It accepts cash but there is no change. Many beautiful buildings.

This a new Cable car to help people who live in the First Favela created in Rio de Janeiro called Morro da Providencia.
If you decide to visit make sure that u have not valuable belongs with you, NOTHING AT ALL, because around Central do Brasil there are thousands of pick pokets and they will really still everything that is possible...
Having a camera only take pictures when inside the cable car but always quick and making sure they are hidden on your pockets afterwards..Deciding to take this adventure make sure there is a local with you, that would make your trip a lot saver.
In a gap of 30 minutes i´seen 3to 5 roberies in front of me...
But it was an interesting experience...

This company was fantastic - communicated everything, helped us with any issues we had, even if it wasn't their tour. We would highly recommend them.

I've travelled all over the world and VTC Rio and Emmanuel provided absolutely incredible service. We travelled with our two kids, aged 1 and 3, and all 3 of the drivers that were assigned to help us were super professional, great with the kids, very knowledgable, helpful on the drive and very responsive and accommodating to our needs over Whatsapp and during our drives. Initially we just booked VTC for a trip from the airport to our Airbnb, but the experience was so great (we got stuck on a 12 hour flight delay in Sao Paulo and ended up flying into a different airport in Rio which Emmanuel seamlessly adapted to) that we booked them for a day your of Rio, an evening sunset trip to Sugar Loaf mountain, and 2 other airport trips. I really can't recommend them highly enough, all the reviews you see here is the real deal and Emmanuel has built a great business - you won't regret it.

Salomon picked up our family of five (two adults and three children ages 10, 12, and 14) at the airport in a private van and for two days we saw the beautiful city of Rio. There was not one wasted minute during our entire time with Salomon. Our first day we saw the Olympic Boulevard, The modern Metropolitan Catherdral, XV Square, Municipal Theater, Santa Teresa Neighborhood, the Selaron Steps, Lapas Arches and the original Catherdral. Near lunch time he checked us into our hotel and then took us to a traditional Brazilian steakhouse near our hotel which was unbelievable. Our second day started with Christ the Redeemer, Tijuca Forest, an overview of the beaches and Sugarloaf Mountain. He was able to slip into our tour a visit of the Rio de Janerio Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He concluded the tour by dropping us off at the airport and directing us where to go to catch our flight.

At each place we visited he knew the best spots to capture a photo to remember our wonderful visit. At Christ the Redeemer he directed us to purchase our train pass prior to our visit and showed us exactly where to sit on the train so that we were the first ones of the day to have our photo take of this magnificent structure built to honor Jesus Christ. At Sugarloaf Mountain we bypassed the horrendous long line and move quickly to the front rather than waiting to get to the top for a spectacular view of the City. Everyone at the sites knew and respected him and he knew how to make the most of our time.

He made the tour fun for our three children. They each speak French and he went out of his way to speak French to them so they could converse with a native speaker. An added bonus for them.

Salomon knows everything about this beautiful city and its history and was extremely accommodating in taking us to the places we wanted to see. We had toured other places in Brazil and when they heard we were going to Rio they cautioned us about safety. We never felt unsafe at any time when we were with Salomon and he directed us where to go when we were not with him to add to our safety.

Don't waste your time or money with anyone else or trying to tour the City on your own. Take a tour with Salomon and you won't be disappointed!

Kadu is an exceptional gentleman, loves his city and knows the ins and outs of it very well. Anyone can start a tour in their own city but not everyone would have the heart behind it like Kadu does. I give my highest recommendation to him as he seeks out the best for the group he takes on. He is a local you can trust, and he has definitely gave me a very good impression of the city. Rio is big, spread out, and you really have to know the places to be able to pull out such an incredible day he has put together for me. If you are looking for a day full of good time and amazing sites , with a cool local, you got to go to Kadu.

This is absolutely must-have tour in Rio !!!

Our private tour guide, Alvaro is super nice, down to the earth, professional and fully prepared; camera, hiking cane, hiking lights, mosquito spray, snack, drinks, etc, etc. Our trip was full of surprises !!! I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE SECOND from the beginning to the end !!! The beaches, the hiking, the sunset, the beautiful views, and of course my favorite, his Jeep !!! I took lots of pictures with his car ;)

Alvaro also takes amazing pictures with his professional camera !!! He even helped us edit them and sent them to us.

It is certainly a very memorable day in Rio. I love this tour. Don’t miss it !!! You will love it too !!!
