It’s a huge mall with higher quality products than others. Bus will drop off in front of mall but for return need to walk 3 blocks to bus stop. Not good on rainy days

Shopping Leblon is the ultimate shopping experience in Rio . It has a lot of interesting Brazilian brands unique to Rio .Refreshing to step away from the global brands we see everywhere and get into the culture of Brazil. Bright happy colours and fabulous prints . If you do not speak Portuguese your dining experience can be unpleasant. I lunched at KITCHIN a Japanese chain that also has restaurants in Sao Paolo. QR codes give you an English menu as the waiters don’t speak english. I wrote down three dishes copied from the menu for the waiter. 40mins later one dish materialised and the waiter says no no to the dishes I have been waiting for. One cannot complain as no one speaks english. No one cares. Not wishing to relinquish my credit card I stood up and went to the cash register to pay and left. The shopping has to suffice!!!

We had a very good introduction to the world of flavoured cacacha as well as the clear and wooded varieties. Also tried the excellent carpiranha, which is highly recommended! Added to all this was the informative discussion we had with the staff in excellent English - cannot recommend a visit and the exceptional customer service highly enough!

We visited this municipal market on the outskirts of Rio, for the Flower and Plants section, which was varied, extensive in range and an amazing experience. Nowhere in the world would you see such a wholesale market for tropical plants including orchids, bromeliads, etc. The market is large and spread over 100,000 square metres.
On weekends, particularly from afternoon onwards the place is brimming with locals - there is music and a number of restaurants and pricing substantially lower than in the city. A bit far but easily accessible by Uber if you are worried about safety.

Norte Shopping (NS) has many goods stores, places to eat. It is a good place to go in the evening with family, or to meet friends.

I have been there several times this week to eat, and visit Starbucks.

Loved the mall experience. Never mind it's short on the clothes selection, the price is right for what was there. Customer service especially in smaller stores/booths was excellent!! Definitely going back!!

In the heart of the Tijuca residential neighborhood and near the Maracana soccer stadium, this high rise mall provides all the shopping conveniences in a climate controlled environment.

Arrived quite late, so lots or shops were closed, yet the ones on the outside stayed open. The most fancy one is from the main entrance, while there were a couple more from the rear end facing some blocks of flats and! Tada! The Christ the Saviour! If you are lucky with the clouds, you can get a very good view. I recon, the place is busy during the daytime with all these shops selling all kinds of foods and drinks. Totally worth a visit, if you are in the area. A 5 reais Uber ride Copocabana.

Friends and family Saturday market...large choice of vegetables, fruits , and fish, not a lot of red meat. You can have breakfast directly here with the tapioca...come early otherwise too hot

Loved this store and wish I could have bought more of the bags. We went here for presents for friends and family. Loved the little change purses with scenes of Rio done in a more abstract way to make them a perfect souvenir. Staff was really helpful and friendly. I was even offered a cachaca cocktail when I visited in the evening.

As a lover of Jazz and Bossa Nova I simply had to pay "Toca do Vinicuis" a visit whilst staying in Ipanema. Packed with both CD's and Vinyl this shop is just fabulous and it's owner of nearly 25 years is an ardent lover of music and I doubt there isn't much that the friendly and helpful Carlos Alberto Afonso doesn't know about Bossa Nova. I spoke to Carlos for some while and giving me his time and letting me listen to a selection of music I was interested in was no bother for him at all, in fact it was obviously his pleasure. I bought 4 CD's (each BR$39 each) including the Tom Jobim album that has the wonderful 'Girl from Ipanema' track on it... A great souvenir of a trip to Rio and a stay in Ipanema. As well as the CD's and Vinyl this treasure of a shop is full of Bossa Nova memorabilia and lots of cement hand casts of famous artists of this genre. Do visit Toca do Vinicius and support Carlos in his passion for keeping this fabulous music style alive and kicking.

We went there on Sunday and saw a great theatre performance. It was fun, full of music and circus like stunts. The folks were friendly. The mall also sports some great places to eat! The shopping is good but typically expensive as everything on the city.

Factory Bangu, famous for its cloths, in the 1950s, was deactivated.
In its place, a mall appeared to attend mainly to the residents of the locality and adjacencies.
From time to time, his administration promotes an exhibition of something interesting and cultural.
This time they put a replica of the First Airplane to Fly.
    THE DEMOISELLE!
Thanks to the intelligence and genealogy of the Brazilian Alberto Santos Dumont, now, at the moment, it has more than 14,000 airplanes flying all over the world.

Unique spread out mall with many separate buildings and lots of outdoor space, showcasing designers, furniture stores, decorative items, architects, and a variety of interesting restaurants.
