Nice place to visit. Must see when going to Brazil. Charming, historical centre does not have cars etc, just pedestrians. Also, comparing it to other places, very safe!!

A unique trip through this beautiful bay and its islands where the lush Atlantic mata meets the blue waters of the bay, a spectacle that you carry in your heart.

Incredible experience! We are from Rio de Janeiro, come to Paraty for our honeymoon. We saw some reviews of Saco so Mamangua and knew we just had to go. First, you must go to Paraty Mirim by car, it’s a bumpy drive and best if on 4x4 wheels. The road signs and pretty clear and there is really nowhere else to go but the main road. Once at the very end, there are a few places to park your car at about R$20 until 18h. There plenty of captains and boats to chose from, but we most definitely recommend Mateus! He is a young captain, born in one of the islands just off the coast, very experienced and knows every corner of the place. Respectful of our time and would let us very comfortable to enjoy each spot on our own time. All the captains charge the same price because they work together as a very tight community. We paid 800 just the two of us, visited every spot of the Mamangua area, stopped for swimming and jumping rocks, had lunch at Restaurante do Dadico - very fresh fish. Also did an hour hike to Pico Pão de Açúcar, Mateus leaves right at the beach where the trail begins and then will be waiting once your back. Totally worth it!

We travelled here with a guide who made me feel a bit more confident sliding down the waterfall into the unknown. At the end you hit the water in a slightly chaotic way but it seemed pretty safe.

Very pretty beach! Lovely walk! Farily easy to get to. Car drive to Trindade, fairly good roads. You leave your car at the farthest beach point, there is parking for about R$20 the whole day. You walk by Praia do Meio, do a very little and light hike to Praia do Caixa d’Aço.

I loved this place, it is very chill, comfy, and quiet. It is mostly people who are very laid back, there is no phone signal there, and the internet connection is not one of the best. This is a place for you to lay back and enjoy life as it comes to you. Many camping areas, some chalés, and places to eat. If you are looking for things to do, maybe this beach is not for you. If you want to relax with nature around you, this is the place!

You can travel from the first beach along through four beaches, Lula beach being one of them. I thought this one was the most beautifful beach of all of them, nice waves and sand. Very blue water. We even spotted turtles when we were there climbing around the rocks.

The drinks are incredible, and Gi was an amazing host! When he found out we spoke English, he was thrilled to give us a tour and gave a very fun explanation of all the varieties of cachasa Engenho Douro produces. Definitely go if you get the chance!

Cristal clear waters and sandy beach - perfect place to spend the day doing SUP, tanning or swimming!
Boat costs 20R per person, definitely worth it!

Nice place to be with kids because the water is calm and it has few waves! The sand is clear and soft. We had a great time in the “Barraquinha da Leticia”, the food was great and she was REALLY nice to us!

The views from the top are magnificent and are worth the steep hike up to the top.
To get to the start of this hike you can take a boat from Paraty Mirim for 250 reais (return) which takes approx. 20 minutes each way. Make sure you got plenty of water with you as you will need it. The walk to the top will take you between 60 and 90 minutes depending on your fitness. It's best to wear proper shoes for this hike. I wouldn't do this walk after it has rained as it would make it very difficult to not slip. You can't really go wrong on your way up as the path is narrow but easy to follow. You walk in shade 90% of the time but there may not be a single breeze until you reach the very top. It's worth the sweat once you stand on the top and look down.

A good beach but make sure you pick a day when not every tour boat is going there . and there is plenty of room for all on the soft white sand and bright blue sea

This is the main beach near where the bus from Paraty to Trindad will have its last stop. This is also where you can hire a boat to the natural pool area nearby. The sea is too rough for swimming and there was no life guard. I think it is a beautiful beach to just sit and enjoy some rays and breeze. You can climb up some of the large boulders to get a nice view of the sea.

Paraty, is like a hidden place in the middle of nowhere is so far from everywhere. Like 4-5 hours from RIo, 2-3 hours from Sao Paolo. But once you get there you do not feel any desire to leave. The beauty of the mountains, beaches, waterfalls, ecosystem is unbelievable. What a nature, colors, food, people…
