The river is located on a very peaceful and well kept farm with lovely changerooms, delicious lunch and many farm animals and birds and heaps of hammocks to relax in while you wait for the tour to begin.
The visibility was superb as you can see from most photos.. the water is so refreshing and you feel so relaxed floating down the river along side different species of fish and river grass.

That said the caves were very interesting and we all enjoyed the tour.
The birds are most active in the morning, we got there from 7.30, and in the afternoon you start to lose the light at about 5. Best time of year is apparently August but we still saw plenty of birds in action.
The timing was just perfect with the beautiful macaws swooping in and out of the crater, one pair flew right over our heads.
We stayed in their Batazinha lodge, which was beautifully appointed and had really gorgeous views of the surrounding area.
We did the extra jaguar project trip with Stephanie who was lovely and fun!
