Sands dunes, natual pools of water, fresh fish, and a hummok to rest. What else? - Dirci MJericoacoara, CE184 contributionsThe best place inJeri. It's usually you, the wind, sand, the sea and very few people around (compared to the main beach). No bars at this beach. The only music comes from the waves and the wind. There's nowhere to hide from the sun, so if you want to spend some time at this side , bring a hat, make sure you have (more than) enough sunscreen or sunblock on and /or bring your own umbrella ( hehehe). Maybe most people choose to be at main beach because at Malhada, there are lots of stones. Surfers Serrote hill is located by this beach and I strongly recommend seeing the sunset from there. - Mike R1 contributionDaniel was amazing, friendly and a great driver and photographer. We did 2 days outside of Jeri with him going to every major spot in style in his buggy. Riding the dunes, seeing the lagoons and even our time at Alchemist Beach Club was all made more special by his photography skills. He's a great guide and the perfect choice for your two person tour around Jeri.

In order to reach the shacks where there is a restaurant, visitors are taken on a sailboat which resembles traditional “jangadas” (or rafts). This adds to the experience, because one can hear the waves and birds in the short trip to the island. Traditional dishes are available in the restaurant, but it takes a while to be served (the kitchen prepares each dish from the start). The buggy was clean and comfortable. Sérgio is a great photographer! We have a lot great pictures from his tour. - wdlSunnyvale, CA540 contributionsIt's an interesting formation where the strong winds made the tree resemble a sloth. It's on the way between Prea and Jericoacoara; chances are it is on the way on any buggy or 4x4 tour.
It's not bad as a stop over for photos; except that for some reason there are long lines just so you can take a shot on the tree with now one nearby.
