A big place to shop, all the brands, big brands.

    A little expensive.

If you like the quick food you'll find a large floor for these brands.

You could walk from the hotels in Barra is a 10/15 minutes slow.

Be safe walking before sunset (may= 18:00 Hs.), after that you better have a taxi.

The best thing to happen to you here is to see the drum band marching by and feel the rhythm flow through you.

There has been a market on this site for many decades, but the current structure was built in 2012 when the old stalls were demolished. It is very large, well-lit and has many, many stalls selling just about everything from fruits and vegetables, cheeses, wines & liquors, barbershops, specialty foods, restaurants, pet shops, butchers, fish mongers and many others (about 100 or so in all).
Their prices are very good. It’s not the usual place you’d go as a tourist, but that makes it all the more interesting to shop than in a mall for instance.
They have a private parking lot too.

It's a huge shopping mall, with everything you need from food to shops.
There are all kinds of stores, and many times the shops have sales that make it worth the trip.

The mall is handy. There is not much sophistication in services. The cinema has only dubbed movies..

Visiting the "Pelourinho" historical quarter in Salvador, you'll certainly pass right by "Centro Cultural Solar Ferrão". The old noble house of "Pelourinho", built between the 17th and 18th centuries, was officially appointed, in 1938, as a Brazilian national heritage monument. Converted into a museum, its six floors and basement house important collections of sacred art ("Coleção Abelardo Rodrigues"), Brazilian popular art ("Coleção Martim Gonçalves"), African arts and crafts ("Coleção Claudio Masella"), non-conventional musical instruments ("Coleção Walter Smetak"), traditional musical instruments ("Coleção Emília Biancardi") and an art gallery with permanent and temporary exhibitions. Take your time and visit one of the most representatives museums of Salvador, joining art, music and beauty! Unmissable! Enjoy!
