Rhythms are breathtaking and are based on “Bahian” folkloric dances of African origin from the slaves times including Candomblé dances, capoeira (a form of martial arts) and samba.
I enjoyed an evening with the Bale Folclorico de Bahia, listening to the music and watching the performances, like the capoeira and the dances of the Orixas.
You can stand and watch the music floats ride by you, or you can walk with them for several miles along the boardwalk.
