What travelers are saying
- bikingmomCleveland, OH529 contributionsWe skied here 2 days, once during a snow storm and then the next day in beautiful sunshine. The runs were well groomed and the lodge for lunch was large and well staffed. Lift lines were a little long, but moved along. We skied between Snowbird and Alta and had a great time. Easy to do if you are a blue/intermediate skier.Written March 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Overseas HikerThe Hague, The Netherlands121 contributionsThe trail to Secret Lake – officially misspelled Cecret Lake – is beautiful and worth hiking. The trail is not very demanding nor very long as it winds its way through flowery meadows, up to a hidden lake at ± 3.000 m / 9,850 ft high.
Getting to the trailhead takes a detour through Little Cottonwood Canyon from Salt Lake City, when driving south.
The drive through the canyon was already nice, passing Snowbird and then reaching Alta, where we could park our car. At this time of day there were no problems parking, plenty of space.
The trailhead was close by the village.

The teachers are patient, kind, and caring. The activities are fun and educational, and the food is healthy! It is often hard to get our kids to leave at the end of the day! I would recommend again and again.Written February 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Steven LBoston, MA10 contributionsFolks and experience at Powderbird is excellent. Easy to get to (from Little Cottonwood), great knowledgeable guides. You have to be ready for cancels and re-schedules, because you are so dependent upon the weather. We originally scheduled for February, but cancelled and re-booked into March. On the day we went, not much powder but nice corn. The terrain is great, and as I said, the guide are excellent. They make it easy. Your day will end early (around 2:00). When you are done, you come back to great food.Written September 13, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
