An opportunity to get a small glimpse of the history and development of Malaysia. Painstaking efforts involved in the miniature making. Dedicated people with a great sense of belonging and identity to Malaysia. Worth the visit!

A very nice museum (unfortunately the gallery was closed for repairs or so) but the remaining floors offered a good insight into the development of the Malaysian central bank, it’s role and responsibilities, etc. Also a good overview of the development of coins and noted throughout the last few hundred years. All in all, interesting exhibition with everything displayed in BM and English so good for tourists as well. Some nice interactive areas and activities so also younger kids would be entertained for a while. Parking is RM 5 but the museum itself is free (you need to put a deposit of RM 10 for putting any bags you have in a locker).

Great way to spend time indoors whilst it pours outdoors. Nothing like some silly family fun taking photos of this 3D art. Very clean and lovely helpful staff who will gladly take pics for you if needed.
It was very quite with 1 only other family at the time of our visit.
The managers were delightful to chat with.

Reading about this exhibition I was wondering where the gallery might be until realizing it was in the black cube which I was looking at while swimming next door. As the Galeri Petronas has closed this was a good opportunity to have a look at local art. Their shop was full of nice things though nobody paid any attention to me.

We chanced upon this place by accident while browsing in Petaling Street. I took a picture with the life-sized figure of Bruce Lee, then my attention was drawn to the interesting maze upstairs. If we had to pay, we would probably not have bothered. But it was free! So we made our way upstairs, ooh-ing and aah-ing at all the exhibits. Had fun posing with the giant abacus, rickshaw and old bicycle. We had a hilarious time reading about the Malaysian slangs, especially the old ones used during my father's generation! Am glad we found this place.

Nino the manager was outstanding to deal with and willing to refund no questions asked.
They have such a wide range of styles you can spend hours deciding and can bargain prices.
They did a painting for me from a photo of a picture that I had and made adjustments for me along the way 😌
    Highly recommended

It's the perfect time to visit the gallery with three exhibitions happening simultaneously—it feels like a bonus experience! The current MYTH Evolution Art Fashion Exhibition by Dato' Seri Bernard Chandran, IOTAKL at the rooftop, and two levels showcasing the museum's collection along with private collectors' artworks offer so much to explore. I've heard of the renowned DSBC for years, and finally seeing his work in person is incredible. The exploration of materials is fascinating, with each texture evoking different emotions. Pakha Sulaiman's Tubuh collection was especially eye-opening for me. I never realized how deeply art could engage with the socio-political landscape and convey such powerful messages. The entire experience was truly inspiring. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in downtown KL!

When I first chanced upon this bookstore last year whilst vising the Van Gogh Exhibition, i was so excited. This excitement was because of the beautiful layout of the bookstorw, the immense floor space, the wide array of books available, the service and the knowledge of the staff which compels me to join the membership even when I am not a Malaysian or live there.

There was a staff who served me who offered to go to the warehouse to get more Manga books so I can choose , when I do not even know what I am buying. In Singapore, I am sure the reply will be everything is on the shelf.

On my second visit, I showed the title of the book I wanted to the counter staff. She went away and came back with different versions and different covers of the same book. Some hard covies and some soft covers . I am a pretty fussy person , to win a smile from me this indeed means the service is excellent. The staff here cares , and they do their work with their hearts and as such they win the customer's heart also. A BIG THAHK YOU to the management for recruiting and training staff of good standards.

A small well hidden (in terms of its location) gallery that features wonderful contemporary art work, along with the works of a featured artist. Also, has some wonderful Malay period furniture on display downstairs.

"Galeri Seni" is an art gallery located at level 5, Bangunan Canseleri, Universiti Malaya (University of Malaya), which is the oldest university in this country. Different theme of exhibition will take place here from time to time. The collection of paintings and arts when I was there were not so impressive and lack of information (maybe i visited during the wrong time). Galeri Seni is open from Monday-Friday and closed on weekend as well as public holidays making it difficult for average working people to pay a visit. However, the admission is free which is highly appreciated.
