I really enjoyed the hike! It was nice to avoid the more crowded parts of Fushimi Inari and to see the natural beauty of the area. There were many photo opportunities and I got some really cool shots. I also learned a lot about the history of Fushimi Inari as well as Shinto and Buddhist customs. It was a lot of fun!

We had the most friendly and knowledgeable, English speaking guide, Levy, who showed us the most beautiful places. We had a fun filled lunch at sushi restaurant where we experienced interesting dishes from the ' sushi train'. Arashiyama is a showcase of beautiful Japanese gardening and Fushimi Inari one amazing place to visit. We were lucky not to have it too crowded. All in all, a memorable day and highly recommended. I have awesome memories and photos of this trip!

A well organised tour that will give you a good insight into the beauty of this region. Tour guides really added to the experience providing insight into the locations visited and the occasional laugh. The buffet lunch provided was very tasty and overall the tour was good value for money. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable and memorable day.

We booked the bike tour to see Kyoto from a different perspective and
it was totally worth it! Jonathan is a great guide, he informed us
beforehand and made sure we came prepared. During the tour he told us
a lot about Kyoto and some historical backgrounds as well. Besides, he
gave us some practical tips and recommendations to spend our time in
Kyoto. He didn't hurry and took all the time we needed to stop at
certain places to give more information or to take some photos. Would
definitely recommend him to guide you through Kyoto if you have the
    chance!

This tour was one of the most important experience we had in Japan. This tour and lunch gave us the opportunity to meet locals and to merge in the food and their culture. We had wonderful conversations about Japanese culture and way of living. The town and the Lake are outstanding beauty!

I'm so glad we opted for a private tour. We never would have been able to do as much as we did on our own. Personally, I thought it was great value for money. And what a magical experience! We saw so many amazing places during this 6 hour excursion. It was also very helpful in getting us oriented around Kyoto and learning the public transit system. Many thanks to Haruka, our very knowledge guide! I would definitely use this company again.

My partner and I stayed in Kyoto for a few days and this was a great tour to experience many of the places that we wanted to visit in the small time that we had. We thought there would be more people on this tour but it happened to just be my partner and myself which was great and made the experience more intimate.

Our tour guide was Koichi and he was fantastic!!! Koichi was very professional and highly knowledgeable about all the locations we visited and he had a great sense of humour as well. As tourists we often explore places admiring its beauty without knowing the meaning behind them, however this tour allowed us to learn about the histories and significance behind each as well as so many interesting facts about the nature, buildings etc. which made it more meaningful. Koichi went out of his way to make the tour enjoyable for us - he took wonderful photographs of us and even took us to a few additional locations that weren’t included in the tour such as Nishiki Market, where he recommended many different foods / restaurants for us to try and we also tasted his favourite dessert which was delicious! He also took us to the different districts to see some Maiko. Thank you Koichi san for a wonderful day! I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kyoto :)

The scenery was awesome, but because the tour operator was a start-up, the actual tour was lacking.Tour guide was pleasant, but wasn't very knowledgeable.

We have just spent the best part of a day with Misako on a cycling tour of Lake Biwa, which is just on the other side of the mountains 40 minutes E of Kyoto.
Misako was informative, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour.
The town of Shiga is quiet and it was relaxing cycling beside the lake and between the fields of rice and soy beans. It is mostly flat but the electric bikes helped “with a little push” on our way up the hill for lake views and lunch.
The tour also included a farmhouse lunch.
We met our hostess Mrs Ikai-san in her bountiful garden. We even helped harvest vegetables for lunch. We were amazed at the quantity and variety of produce she is able to grow.
We were then treated to a magnificent “farm to table” lunch in Mr and Mrs Ikai-san’s lovely traditional home with one of their beautiful daughters.
The family were very warm and inviting. They were interested in us and happy to chat about themselves and their culture. They made us feel very welcome.
Misako did a great job of interpreting for us all.
The tour was recommended to us and it certainly exceeded our expectations.

Our family joined Mt. Daimonji night hike tour in June. While walking, we were able to enjoy the conversation with our guide Momo who spoke good English. She gave us descriptions of the history and nature of Kyoto. Throughout the night we never felt dangerous as she was very safe conscious. The highlight of the tour came when we finally climbed on the top, it was such a beautiful, nocturnal scene. Kyoto tower and Kyoto Gyoen national garden where we visited earlier in a day, impressed us in a different way at night from the top. Using hand lights to go down the mountain as it became completely dark, was also exciting. After the tour, Momo recommended us a good place to eat, and it was certainly the right choice! She sent us photos which she had taken during the hike, so we could have something to recall memories of the tour. We are more than satisfied with this tour as it became one of the best of this trip. Thank you very much!
