My husband and I booked a full day tour in Xian to see the Terra-cotta Warriors and Muslim Street with Travel China. We were lucky to have an excellent guide in Jacky. He has a background in teaching with good English and an excellent knowledge of culture and history. Jacky and the driver picked us up at our hotel and we were dropped off at the end of the day. It was a great way to get the most out of the sites. I definitely recommend both Jacky and Travel China.

We booked our tour before leaving Australia as we only had one day for touring. Grace who looked after our arrangements was fantastic to deal with and very responsive to all enquiries.

The trip itself was seamless and all details excellent. The mountain is amazing and i would recommend visiting. It does require some level of fitness. Sasha our English speaking guide was very good.

Had a great day at the Huashan Mountains with China Xian Tours. They made what could be a complicated day very easy. We drove there in a new comfortable air-conditioned van with a great driver. Our guide, Noble, spoke great English and was really pleasant and guided us around the various mountain peaks with ease. Given the large tourist crowds this was very helpful. The mountains are beautiful and we had a great time and workout. I highly recommend using China Xian Tours if you want a hassle free great day in the Huashan Mountains

To say short and sweet: Ted was absolutely an awesome guide to Hua Mtns for my family. I have a 10 year old boy and a 14 year old girl. We had been touring China for about 2 weeks when Ted suggested we leave a bit earlier the next morning....before 7:30. We made sure we were ready to roll by 7am to help beat the crowds out of Xian. We all enjoyed our hike around the four peaks after taking the cable car up. The cable car was amazing. Ted kept my 10 year old engaged and entertained for hiking with lots of fun photos. Ted was knowledgable and very easy to understand his English which was excellent with a nice English accent.

Excellent place to visit... lots of steps up and down to get around all the peaks in one day but worth it.

This was an outstanding sidetrip for our brief time in central China. Owen and his guides were very accommodating, upgrading our bullet train seats. great hotel, getting us to the sites early for best viewing. One caution: best to choose weekdays as the sites are very busy on weekends. Cannot compliment Owen and his guides enough

My husband and I booked a private tour thru Chinahighlights.com with agent: Vivi Chen, to spend one day visiting the Terracotta Museum, the City Wall and the Pagoda and the second day visiting Huashan.
We enjoyed the tour to a 100% as it was at our own pace. The schedule was perfect, no visiting shops. The tour guide , Robbie, spoke good English and his narration on the first day regarding Chinese history and local culture was really excellent. Unfortunately, there wasn't much talk regarding Huashan. He could have spoken more on Huashan being one of China's five great Mountains, its religious significance as well as its 5 main peaks. We were glad that he suggested to go to the West Peak instead of going to the North Peak as originally planned.
At time of booking I have requested a male guide as my husband has low vision. Robbie was quite helpful to assist him to the washrooms. A little disappointing was that when ascending steps or slopes he led the way and waited for us at the top while as seniors and low vision person, we took time to climb to meet him.
A suggestion for Robbie was that he should check meals offered on flights. Since we flew direct from Canada to Xian, changing 2 flights on the way, we didn't have supper on arrival to Xian. Altho the tour package didn't include supper, Robbie could at least make some suggestions where we could eat near the hotel.
One other inconvenience was our baggage was delayed. Chinahighlights.com should have informed us that we needed to clear customs at Beijing. Our baggage was checked direct from Calgary Airport to Xian. When we arrived at Xian we discovered that our baggage was left at Beijing because we didn't pick them up for customs. We had to pay 300 RMB for the driver to pick them up the next day.
In spite of these hick ups, we still recommend Chinahighlights.com and commend on Robbie a job well done.
