I took my mom for her birthday during our trip to Russia. The show was amazing to say the least. During, intermission they served drinks ( champagne, wine and of course vodka) and finger food which included caviar. They had tables with souvenirs to sell. I would highly recommend especially since pickup and return to your hotel is included in the cost of the ticket.

The first impression was a bit off. We had to squeeze through a back entrance and up some concrete stairs into a cramped theatre, where we competed for lumpy un-numbered seats with some highy uncultured selfie-obsessed people (one guy even wore overalls! :/) But once the music started and the idiots with cameras were scolded by a formidable and impressive matron, the ballet was simply stupendous. The final act completely blew us away! Our shoulders and and hands were tired from applause. The Swan herself was pure perfection and despite our rough first impression we left completely satisfied with huge smiles across our faces.

The theatre and the ballet were sensational however the theatre box office told us on arrival that the tickets we purchased from Viator were fakes and it took about 20 minutes of performance time to remedy this situation. Very disappointing considering the stress this caused, the high cost of the tickets and that we had come from Australia.

This was an excursion that my husband and I went on during our honeymoon cruise through the Baltic Sea. The company was very professional and thorough throughout the process of booking, scheduling and preparing for our Russian excursion. The driver was on time and the tour guide was friendly and informative. The tickets were brought directly to our cruise ship and we were dropped off right in front of the theater. The show itself was wonderful and our driver was waiting right out front when we were finished. We were back at our ship by 11pm. Couldn't have asked for a better experience as a whole.

Really enjoyed this show. The dancing and singing was wonderful and the costumes were great. There was free champagne during the break. Would love to see it again.

I don't know too much about Ballet. It was swan lake. I got the story from the program. We sat back and enjoyed the presentation. The performers were young and for the most part good to excellent. The hall was fantastic. I am glad we did it

If you want to have a truly cultural experience you should book this ballet for your St Petersburg trip It was absolutely wonderful to see the gracious Russian dancers performing on the scene of a historical theater. It was very convenient to be picked up from the hotel and met after the ballet in the late evening.
Swan Lake ballet in Russia is a must at least once in a life time.

Just awful. Arriving at the restaurant we were 'welcomed' by a most unhappy lady, she clearly didn't want us there, we were the only customer in the room and it felt like we were there before they actually opened. All tables were laid out with napkins other than the one we were taken to which was at the back. When I requested a napkin pointing at the other tables she gestured to the paper napkins on my table, we were not worthy of cotton.
The bottle of water on the table was all we were given, no offer or an another drink.
The food was 4 courses of indescribable slop. A wedge of something to start that made me wretch with every mouthful which we weren't even given time to finish before the soup arrived, water with a few floating veg and still eating the sloppy starter with the soup on the side arrived the main 'something' stroganoff and I hazard a guess that it had some meat in it, there were a few chewy lumps and I have convinced myself it was beef. 6 plates of food on a small table for 2 so what better than to bring the vodka and the dessert which was the largest and heaviest apple flan/cake/frisbee. I couldn't eat it or drink the vodka for laughing so much. I have never felt so unwelcome or been served such slop ever before, tears of laughter spilled down my face - it was ludicrous.

The experience lasted 40 minutes, in an out, and I have had hours recanting the story to much amusement. But don't book it, it is far too expensive a treat to waste that money.

If you want to see the Ballet, just see the Ballet.

This is a must excursion for WW2 history buffs. Valeria is highly knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It gets you out of the city and congestion of the other typical cruise ship tours available. The museums, monuments and stories fill the day and
Make the time fly by. It is powerful, somber and sobering to be on the same ground that saw so much tragedy and death. A real experience.

I was traveling solo to see the Hermitage in late 2016 and decided to hire a guide for a couple of days to learn more of Saint Petersburg during my time there. I could not have done better than lucking upon Elena. She loves what she does, loves her city and proved to be the ideal guide.

Visiting St. Petersburg with a guide as knowledgeable and passionate as Elena really opens up the city in a way one wouldn't get otherwise. In fact, based on that experience, I'm currently reading a book on the siege of Leningrad. In part because of Elena's enthusiasm, this is a city one leaves wanting to know more about.

I often think back with fondness at my short time there and hope to one day be able to see it again. If I am able to make that happen, I already know the perfect guide.

Great show. A little touristy, but that's what we wanted to see. T J Tours was wonderful to work with. They picked us up right after customs, took us to the show then dropped us back off at our cruise ship afterwards. Very smooth transaction. I worked with them via email and was highly satisfied!

I enjoyed this tour. Everything was very well organized. St. Petersburg is now my favorite city in Russia. It does not look like an American city, a very old city with a great history.

It was a dream of 30 years ago of my father, sister and to visit STP. Oleg has given us three an unforgettable experience. The communication was very good. He explained everything in German, but also in English. He knows what he was talking about: he could have been a historic teacher :-)! He showed us the most beautifull places around STP and told us epic stories about it. For us as Dutch people it was extra interesting to hear about the history of Peter the Great and Holland. We can recommend this tour with Oleg if you want to know al lot of STP in a short time. 👏
