What travelers are saying
- endless_suitcasesElbert, Colorado, United States90 contributionsOne could stand and stare at this view or stand on the bridge itself for hours without moving. Peaceful beautiful surroundings with trees that are over 100 years old. A treasure that has survived so much turmoil over history.Written October 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- B1714DBelgrade, Serbia12,459 contributionsWhile considering the name one could expect a more lavish and decorated bridge, Palace bridge is in fact a simple one connecting the Vasileysky island with the mainland close by the Winter Palace.
I suggest crossing it, as from both sides you'll capture amazing downtown views. We did that walking from the Peter and Paul's fortress to Hermitage.
Another prime attraction is coming here around 1.30 AM. All bridges in downtown St. Pet are drawing bridges to allow vessels pass beneath them.
We did that 2 nights in row, but unfortunately it did not happen so we left disappointed with many others. It seems drawing times are not guaranteed.Written May 23, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ExperienceCatcher20 contributionsThe bridge has that special effect of the town. It is picturesque if looking at it from the side and staying on it. I was there this autumn and te colors just burst into my eyes.Written October 17, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- endless_suitcasesElbert, Colorado, United States90 contributionsSo exciting to walk through the grounds of the Catherine Palace and explore all the amazing gardens, bridges, lake and more. - Oleg YBelgrade, Serbia2,720 contributionsBeside the Large Chinese Bridge, there is one more bridge designed in chinese style and which is located near the Parnas Hill in Alexander Park in Pushkin. It was designed in 1785 by engineer Cameron.
Sometime it was called the bridge of the people " with the terrible figures". Before, during the time of Empress Catherine the Great the bridge decoration was with the four cast figures of dragons made of lime stones but later in 1860 were created modern iron dragons. Little bit scary, they although attract the attention of tourists and guests of St. Petersburg with their uniqueness and strange.

- Oleg YBelgrade, Serbia2,720 contributionsJust wandering in the large Aleksandria Park, we stumbled upon this unusual stone bridge. It is located in the eastern part of the Park, near one beautiful Cottage, Palace Museum. It is thrown across one small river and distinguishes itself with one dainty appearance after a recent restoration. Great pictures we made from it, at the nearby alleys and woods, leaned on the railings of the birch trunks. The bridge is decorated with the beautiful vases. Below, there were the ducks and we fed them.
You can't miss this bridge making some ramble in this part of Aleksandria.Written February 6, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - ValentinSt. Petersburg, Russia1,041 contributionsSt. Petersburg. Russia.
Trinity bridge and Peter and Paul Cathedral. Very beautiful view from the promenade. 🌉Written January 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Tupelo010835Denton, TX1,962 contributionsNot sure exactly what I expected but this bridge is just another bridge with a horse statue at each of the four corners. If you spend any time on Nevsky Prospekt you will traverse this bridge. Probably more than once
If you’ve hired a Yandex driver, look quick or you may miss it.Written June 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - HowloBuckingham, UK9,353 contributionsOf the many bridges that cross the river Neva this has to be one of the finest, its ironwork is beautiful and it makes for a spectacular sight.Written August 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Alexander_KudrinSamara, Russia8,751 contributionsOne of the most beautiful pedestrian bridges in St. Petersburg, thrown over the Griboyedov Canal.
Standing in its middle, you can enjoy the view of both the Kazan Cathedral and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood.
The most impressive, of course, are the winged lions with gilded wings, which are often mistakenly called griffins.
Definitely worth a visit!Written January 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - norgevaSt. Petersburg, Russia1,051 contributionsThis small canal bridge has a very interesting and unique design. - AleksandarBelgrade, Serbia8,213 contributionsOne of a couple of bright coloured bridges in the city.
I prefer the blue one, but this red one seems more elegant and in touch with the surroundings.Written December 27, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
