Really enjoyed this show. The dancing and singing was wonderful and the costumes were great. There was free champagne during the break. Would love to see it again.

Me and my wife went on this Food Tour in January. While the weather left us feeling cold and dready, Mila's bubbly personality made us feel warm and welcome to St. Petersburg.

We loved the food, especially the stroganoff with buckwheat dish, and the pierogi. We didn't expect to taste so many different Russian dishes. Definitely worth the time and money!

Dear Travellers, if you want a truly authentic Russian experience with one of the loveliest people you could hope to meet, a dinner or a market tour with Katarina is the way to go. My friend and I were in St Petersburg for 4 days, on the second day we did a market tour with Katarina. The tour is of a real market place and Katarina takes you around to the stalls where you can buy caviar, honey, pickles- the works. She is very well connected so the vendors she takes you to are incredibly friendly, especially the lovely pickle lady. Before the tour of the market we went to a great little cafe for a coffee and a doughnut and after the tour we went to an amazing restaurant for lunch. The experience was so fantastic that we decided to book a dinner the following evening. Katarina's culinary skills are amazing, we had a delicious dinner but the best part of the dinner was the conversation, it felt like we had known her for years. We were leaving St Petersburg the following evening and we mentioned that we wanted to go to Peterhof Palace so Katarina arranged a tour for all of us which included the Hydrofoil there and back and a full on tour of the grounds and palace. She is incredibly knowledgeable and the best tour guide one could possibly hope for.
I have to admit I was a bit sceptical when my friend suggested the "eat with" app and a personalized experience. I will forever be grateful for deciding to do the initial market tour on the second day of our stay. Katarina and her friends were the absolute highlight of a magical trip that was certainly not short of amazing experiences.

Our guide Elena, was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a more informative, pleasant, helpful guide. We would most certainly recommend ULKO Tours to anyone thinking of visiting St. Petersburg on a cruise. We saw so much and enjoyed the Russian meals that were added to our tour and all at a much better price than through the cruise line. Thank you for sharing your city with us.

Were in Konstantin Palace. This is the official residence of the President of Russia. And here we had a tour and tasting of vintage wines in the cellars. The tour began with a visit to the wine cellars, where an experienced sommelier told about the history of winemaking, successful harvests and varietal composition of wines. After that, they moved to the tasting rooms, where they learned the basics of winemaking in a comfortable atmosphere. It was a fascinating impression. Guide Irina is fluent in English and we have asked her everything in detail. Thank you for the great pastime. I also want to say thanks to the driver who drove us - a true professional.

Dear Alina,

we had a brilliant day with Pauline - she has helped us a lot, also with things like changing money, metro etc.

She gave us lots of important information, told us interesting facts and stories - she does know a lot about Russia and St. Petersburg. She adjusted the tour to our interests and needs, which was so good!! Very personal and individual!

We were so happy that we could make it in the end and above all: the weather was perfect!!

I could not find the link to write a review just now, but I can do it next week if you like,

Regards to you and Pauline, Anja & Frank

We visited St. Petersburg with our friends in August 2018. There were 6 of us and we came by a ship. Our friends knew about this company from the recommendations of their parents. i should say we are happy we had a tour of St. Petersburg with this company. Our guide Elena was great. We are experienced travelers and i can say the best guide what we ever had was Elena from Red Sun Tours. She was so caring, entertaining and informative. She managed to gave us a chance to feel the real taste of Russia and its people. I would highly recommend this company for all tourists who visit St. Petersburg. If you want to feel Russia and its spirit this company will amaze you!

The first time we visited St. Petersburg, we booked a small-group tour with a different company, and it was fine, but for our second visit, we wanted a more personal experience and Red Sun Tours was the most prompt and the most responsive in their communication with us, offering to customize our itinerary to our preferences -- and the tour was excellent. We were able to visit favourites from our last visit like the Peterhof fountains but also trade out the always-crowded Catherine Palace for the Grand Maket Russia (which was so cute), the Peter and Paul Fortress for the Soviet Arcade Games Museum (which gave you 15 kopek coins and let you actually play the games), etc. We were also able to request a lunch at a Georgian restaurant since I'd never tried Georgian food before.

If you have the budget, I *strongly* recommend setting up a private tour in St. Petersburg, and not just for the ability to customize your itinerary -- the smaller the group, the easier it is to bypass the lines. And the more personal the experience: other people who were on group tours with the larger companies were given audioguides in the Faberge Museum; our private guide gave us our own tour. But even if you don't select a private tour, I would recommend booking with Red Sun as their small groups are smaller than those of the other companies and their guides really connect with their clients.

We enjoyed our tour of St. Petersburg with Red Sun Tours. Elena was our guide. She was so enthusiastic, constantly watching us to see what we were interested in. She answered all our questions with patience and detail. The pace of the tour was just right so we could see everything what was plan without rush. We really enjoyed the details that she shared of her life; later we all agreed that Elena seemed more like a friend than just our guide. Her gentle sense of humour kept us all engaged when we began get tired. I have to say that seeing St. Petersburg with Elena was one of the highlights of my life.

From beginning to end this 2 day Comfort Tour provided by Alexei from MaxiBaltTours was exceptional. Disabled wheelchair user in our party was treated with care, kindness and consideration at all times by our lovely guide Natasha and driver Alexander. Our tour was tailored to our every need and Natasha who had a keen intelligence, vast knowledge and excellent language skills together with a vibrant, happy and kind personality made our trip one of a lifetime. We drank in as much as we could in our 2 days of beautiful St Petersburg and its culture and lovely people. I am so pleased I chose this private tour company as they are second to none. We cannot thank you all enough at MaxiBaltTours for the truly sincere welcome you gave us to your country and for the amazing unforgettable experience. We hope to return in the future and see you all again. Bye for now ..your English friends.

I wanted to give a present to help my in-laws celebrate their anniversary on a Baltic cruise, so I decided to book them a private shore excursion of St. Petersburg with a Mandarin speaking tour guide. The planning process was very easy, I received an itinerary proposal and made some changes to fit my in-law's interests. Tom, who helped me with planning the trip, was extremely patient and considerate.

My in-laws absolutely loved their tour! They said that their private tour guide, Mila, made their tour unforgettable. She shared stories about all places that they visited and kept them entertained, without wearing them out. They really appreciated that she took good care of them. Among other things, she brought them to the elevators, whenever they were available to make things easy for them. Mila was very patient and personable with them, and she was able to answer any questions that they had.

Needless to say, my in-laws were extremely pleased with their gift. I hope that I get to travel to St. Petersburg one day, so that I may also tour St. Petersburg with Mila!

My wife and I had the opportunity to visit and eat in the home of a family in St Petersburg while on a cruise. It was a very delightful and educational experience. The meal was a typical Russian family meal of Russian salad, carrot and cheese roll, mushroom and pasta casserole, and walnut cookies. As everywhere wine and vodka were served. Our host's family had lived on her street for 95 years. Her and her husband's description of living before and after the fall of the Soviet Union were very interesting to two Americans who had only US news descriptions of life in Russia. We totally enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to everyone who has the chance.

What an amazing experience! Anna and Anton ensured that all stages of the process were enjoyable and informative. Despite my needing to change the initial booked time, they adapted their schedule and so we were able to have a wonderful evening where I learned lots about Russian culture and gastronomy as well as participating in the preparation of (and of course eating of…) two delicious dishes, including my favourite, the “herring in a fur coat”. A thoroughly charming couple, they arranged a fun packed evening and a great opportunity for us to enjoy a cultural exchange in a nice environment. Highly recommended.

Our tour with Yelena and Edward was 5 STAR! Yelena was so knowledgeable, taught us so much about Russia and made sure we didn't miss any experience. We saw all the major sights and then some - went to the ballet, tasted vodka and got to see the fountain at Peterhof just as it began with the beautiful music in the background. She took us to two additional churches and tried to help me find gymnastics leotards. I want to go back and have her take us to other parts of Russia. She helped us bypass the unbelievable long lines and timed going to each place so well so we missed traffic and got everything in that we wanted to see. Edward was a superb driver and taught us a lot as well. The two of them as a team were a pleasure and their tour was absolutely fabulous!! To be with guides for three very full days could be hard - not this one - we looked forward to each day and each hour with them. We will never forget them and the wonderful experiences in St. Petersburg!!

It was a dream of 30 years ago of my father, sister and to visit STP. Oleg has given us three an unforgettable experience. The communication was very good. He explained everything in German, but also in English. He knows what he was talking about: he could have been a historic teacher :-)! He showed us the most beautifull places around STP and told us epic stories about it. For us as Dutch people it was extra interesting to hear about the history of Peter the Great and Holland. We can recommend this tour with Oleg if you want to know al lot of STP in a short time. 👏

Liza Kamlik guided me and my husband Hussein in an excellent tour to discover the beauty of St Petersburg. Liza has vast knowledge about the city history, the Art in the Heritage Museum, the beauty of every church building of the city. She led a group of 16 Norwegian travellers with patient and provided stories of the city history with accurate dates of events and names of people who played roles in the history. The tour included two Russian style lunches in authentic Restaurants, which were delicious. As part of the tour, we has an hour Neva river boat excursion that allowed us to take beautiful photos. Liza took an extra step to get me a specific Rock Russian herbal tea product that sold only in Russia. Liza was so careful to show us the special construction of the city subway and I admired her braveness to move 16 passengers in a crowded subway. Thanks Liza a lot for your kindness and the lovely time that we spent listening to you.

A full-day tour of walking into revenue houses, courtyards, local markets, and underground metro. You really get to discover the history and rich culture that are otherwise unknown (and inaccessible) by normal tourists.

Our guide Dina is very informative so you'll definitely learn a lot.

A must try while in St Petersburg if you want to have a whole day of exploring :)
