The House of the Singer Company or the House of the Book is one of the most beautiful buildings in St. Petersburg, built in the Art Nouveau style.
It is beautiful both externally and internally. The facade of the building is very unusual - there are Valkyries on rostras, and shells, dragon heads growing from sheets of irises, mascarons, elegant glazed tiles and an impressive Cole crowned with a globe.
Inside there is a feeling of spaciousness and freedom.
There is a wonderful bookstore with a wide variety of postcards and souvenirs. Definitely worth a visit!

We were there for shopping but i was surprised to see the crowd in this Mall.

No doubt that it's very big Mall and very spacious but only problem is that it's in center and heart of saint Petersburg, so many people wants to see it.

Must go...... but early in the morning, otherwise you will stuck in crowd

I went to Leningrad Center with my friends to see a show called Timeless. The show itself is a combination of the Cirque du Soleil trailers and cuts from a dance TV show with some songs thrown into the mix. The plot was so convoluted that we didn’t manage to grasp it. Our bad, as we came completely unprepared, not having read the short summary. The acrobatics part was good, as well as a variety of dances: from African tribal to hip-hop (although one might say it’s pretty much the same thing). But noone fell asleep during the whole show, which is a rare thing. One can get drinks during the breaks. Some even managed to gain access to alcohol throughout the whole performance. Would recommend!

Together with a French tourist we found this - to be a funny comix gallery - Art-joke, with a serious background.

I was happy to see it again because it's a truly unique museum. It's located about 15 minutes walk from Savior on the Spilled Blood church and it's near the Faberge museum. Most of the pieces are few millimeter in size and some of their parts are measured in micron like the photos I added of the chess table: Height 2mm and 3.5mm lenght

I was looking for a contemporary museum in St. Petersburg and was recommended to the ARTMUZA museum by a friend - also like ERATA on Vasilyevsky Island. As I found out, this was a former musical instrument factory.
Works by various artists can be viewed over three floors.
But it is not just the works on display that are to be viewed; the entire building is a single work of art that is bursting with creativity.
There are many small shops, offices and stores that fit harmoniously into the overall structure. The stylish cafes invite you to take a break.

All in all a great concept that should be seen. Admission is free.

Typical flea market, a lot of rubbish to go through to find a gem, beware loads of fakes being palmed off as real, this would only suit collectors and dealers, try to take a Russian speaking person with with as prices seem to triple if you are not Russian, however sellers are negotiable.

I stopped by here to get some souvenirs. Everything was priced low compared to other souvenir shops. The quality of gifts is amazing and everything is holding up well. The customer service really wowed me. They have English speakers working there that made shopping a breeze! Next time I’m in Saint Petersburg I’m coming here again.

We like LETO for its convenient location near Pulkovo airport. The shopping center itself is quite large and looks pretty interesting! Especially now before the Christmas. Amazing decorations, new year tree, you know! Inside the building there are plenty of shops of our fav brands, and the prices are surprisingly small now as well ahah thanks for the mass sale! Also there is a food court in which you can take a coffee or normal dinner. So..everything you need in the shopping mall.

Got to be there for the exhibition of Robert Whitman's pictures of Mikhail Baryshnikov. Needless to say, the photos were great (so thank you the K gallery for bringing them to St Petersburg). The staff was friendly (it would be great if they were a little more involved though).

This arcade has a nice architecture (like you have some in Brussels). No idea of the shops ... just looking at the nice light and steelwork.

Most likely you've never seen something like this. Modern digital art is very impressing. There are several huge 3d installatons on a ceiling, a wall and a dome in MARS. You put 3d glasses on, lay down and have an awesome trip to mysterious worlds. Also you can feel yourself like a digital artist through interactive installatIons. So you can draw by your phone, your eyes and even in virtual reality!!! You're walking around the room and drawing in a VR helm like an alian😂 It looks strange but it's really amazing!))
We visited the exhibition on a weekday an it was the right decision😎. Guides said there are too much people on weekends.

Most definitely worth visiting if you are looking for a piece by a local artist at very reasonable prices. Ms Jana was exceptionally friendly & helpful & spoke very good English. Whilst they have a massive collection visible on line gallery space is not huge, though stacks of paintings abound, we found exactly what we were looking for, oil's by a local artist. Not easy to find as the gallery is in an internal courtyard, but definitely worth the effort. Go through a metal door from the street and then past two intimidating (but very friendly) matrons sitting in front of a turnstile & then thru another door into courtyard & gallery is directly ahead... happy hunting,
By the way restuarant PROBKA which is close by is worth visiting for lunch or dinner, its modern & trendy but friendly with good food & prompt service.
