Enjoy viewing the opulence of the Czars. I hope you still have money to visit as I did. But enjoy it quickly because your fearless leader is destroying your country by destroying your neighbors to the west. Your money is worth nothing and you can earn $1M for killing fearless leader! You will be held accountable and allowed no where else in the world.

The majestic palace is part of the town of Petergof, which is about an hour’s drive from the city center. Visitors love the daily turning-on of the Grand Cascade fountain, which sees water shoot out of a golden sculpture and pour down the hillside in time to classical music.

The entry ticket to this palace was 2000 Rubles. It is advised to stay at least half a day there. However, you can spend your full day here. You can walk along the canal to the last point where it meets with the Gulf of Finland.

The only real problem we had was trying to book tickets. The website was in Russian and Google translate is not always terribly accurate. That said we managed to book 4 tickets for a visit as

As one of our party needed a wheelchair, we did not have to be herded around in a group and had many of the rooms virtually to ourselves. It really is a magnificent palace and a very enjoyable morning was spent there. One of the only downsides was that many of the Russian room attendants were unhelpful and on one occasion rather rude. It is well appointed for wheelchair users with ramps in every room. The wheelchair was very comfortable and well maintained. It was rather disappointing though that we could not have the use of a wheelchair for outside in the grounds which meant that our party were not really able to explore as much as we would’ve liked.

Tsarsko Selo (Tsar Village) is a Royal complex Peter the Great built for his wife Catherine I, later enlarged and lavishly decorated by Catherine II (the Great).
It consists of a breathtaking Palace, terrific gardens with lakes, Hermitage pavilion, a Mosque, monuments across the park,...etc.
It's located further south of St. Pet airport and you can reach it by taxi (make sure you have the Yandex app installed) which will take around 45-60 min depending on the traffic, or via the train from St, Pet.
The area is huge and beautiful to explore, so count on at least half a day for visit.

The Faberge Museum is a little Gem that's a must while visiting St. Petersburg. It has the largest collection (to my knowledge) of Faberge Eggs and other masterpieces crafted by Karl Faberge.

This park is located on the shore of the sea bay. It is not big, but it is very cozy. There are a lot of greenery, interesting original sculptures, attractions. It's very good to walk and meditate.

Oranienbaum is one of the palaces located in the surroundings of St. Petersburg. In fact, it is located in Lomonosov. Pitifully, we arrived there on Tuesday in November, and this day the palace was closed. We only could walk in the gardens, which were very beautiful and also we can see very nice views of the palace. We should return in summer.

I'm a big model enthusiast and visited several such displays throughout Europe.
Until now, I regarded the Hamburg one being the best, but now, honestly the St. Pet's doesn't have a match - in one word it's amazing.
I see many people here focus this as a primary kids attraction which I can only partially agree. Kids observe this display as a toy, for me it's a piece of art.
The display is split into two huge sections (west and east Russia) in one enormous room, divided by the central passageway (marks the Europe-Asia border).
Every Russia major city with its landmarks, as well all regions are geographically displayed with millions of tiny objects. Hundreds of moving trains, cars, planes, working plants, mines, oil platforms, ski and sea resorts,....you name it, it's there. Every 15 min the room turns dark and display illuminated showing the night scene which is again amazing.
Unseen attention to details with high technology makes you stare at this in disbelief. Make sure to read the plaques showing the number of something and many interesting facts.
Grand Maket is not in the prime tourist area, but in a residential part of town with nothing else to see around, but worth every effort coming.

The cathedral is very beautiful, it is huge and they have some nice frescos and paintings. I would not call it a Museum but it is definitely worth a visit.

The Hermitage pavilion sits opposite the main Catherine palace over beautifully landscaped gardens and close to the lake. It's the biggest edifice in the complex after the Palace itself.
It's built in the same Baroque/Rococo style with the same colors of blue, white and gold dominating, as the main palace.
During our visit it was closed, so I cannot comment the interiors.

If strolling in the fascinating gardens is your thing, then The Park And Gardens of Peterhof is the best place to go! Incredible landscape and fabulous buildings all over the park can blow your mind with their magnificence and elegance. And if you ask me, fountains were one of the highlights of this exciting visit. I can't recommend it enough!
