It was a great experience and very friendly experienced staff members. We really enjoyed our time there and had a quality family time while doing our potterys. Highly recommended place to visit and experience some thing new in Moscow.

Having wanted to try the craft of pottery for a long time i was thrilled to find the opportunity for it in Moscow through the pottery workshop "На Миуссах". I signed up for a series of 8 private lessons and can, after having completed them now, recommend this workshop warmly to anyone interested in pottery, or even anyone just looking for some cosy, quiet moments in busy Moscow!

I tried my luck with jars, plates, cups and bowls; the class involved shaping the object from a lump of clay, correcting irregularities, and getting to know different methods of decoration. Denis is an very patient and welcoming teacher; he willingly takes up your own ideas and helps you to realise them as far as possible. This also means you can set you own priorities in what you want to work on and learn in the course of the workshop.

Although there was to a certain degree a language barrier, we managed to bridge it quite easily with my fragmented Russian and the occasional help of Google translate :) So i really wouldn't let not knowing Russian discourage any non-native speakers, especially since the tasks are so manual.

I enjoyed the lessons very much, it was a very good first insight into the ceramics craft and made me eager to pursue it further at the next opportunity. So once more, my warmest recommendations to anyone interested in ceramics, and warmest wishes and a big thank you to Denis!

I always wanted to know how to paint, but i never got the chance until I came to this studio thanks to some russian friends who recommended it. I was on a trip in Moscow and i had a free time so I decided to learn and in 3 hours i draw this beautiful picture. The stuff was really cool and kind with me, they spoke english and they even translate what was the artist teaching us. For those who visit Moscow, this is a must. It is super

I would've been a tad surprised if, say Museo de Historia de Madrid or the Historical Museum of Serbia had been established for aliens. Russia is not a prime international tourist destination so it's even more logical its cultural establishments target primarily its citizens while foreigners have - for peanuts! - both "live" and audio English-speaking (and not only English-speaking, by the way) guides at their disposal at virtually all most popular locations.
I visited that small but charming museum by the Red Square this January. Together with my wife. We're native Russian speakers.
Can't say its eminence struck us but it gives a fair picture of the country's development through the period it focuses upon. As to Russian modern history (revolutions, commies, gulags, etc.), there're plenty of opportunities to enjoy these gory niceties at other city institutions. In the State Central Museum of Contemporary History or the Museum of the History of GULAG, for example. To name just a few.
This one is recommended, of course. To try to crack the enigma of this country open.
