I like Chaika because of the fresh air, it’s much better for your lungs, skin, etc. Or maybe I am just used to it. Anyway, I tried an indoor swimming-pool once, when this one was on renovation – no comparison! I felt as if I were in a hot-house!
The only hitch is that you have to take a dive to reach the pool from the shower room. Of course, you can open the door and walk, but I wouldn’t want to do that in winter. Especially as the forecast is minus 20 C for the Russian Christmas!
Once in the water, it feels very comfortable. They keep the temperature at +28 C any season.
While I speak about the swimming-pool, there are actually two: the bigger, Olympic size – 50 m, and the smaller 25 m for diving. When it’s summer, I’ll take a photo, it won’t go now, there’s steam all around.
I only use the swimming-pool as such, but I know there is a fitness centre, water aerobics, sauna and I don’t know what, that’s for the people with a lot of spare time and money.
I’ve just bought the club card for year 2023, it’s 69 thousand roubles, and you can come anytime and stay as long as it’s open.
While I cannot take any photos outdoors because of the weather conditions, I’ve taken some indoors, to show you the café and the lobby.
Worth to know that the place is a real monument of history and architecture, it was built for the International Youth Festival 1957 and is over 55 y.o. by now!
