This park is not in the prime tourist area, but for every history (specially WWII) buff it's worth the extra effort reaching it in the western part of the capital. To make your journey more fulfilled and convince you seeing it, beside the park itself there's an amazing WWII Victory museum and near by (5-10 min walk) is the Triumphal Gate and the Borodino battle panorama museum (read my separate reviews on them).
The park is huge, adorned with many fountains, huge Soviet style monuments, lake with renting boats, walking paths and benches, as well many kiosks with fast food and drink options.
Bonus TIP: The metro station by the park is called "Park Pobedy". It is one of the most beautiful ones and the second deepest in the world, 84 m below ground).
