- 963kempBristol, UK2 contributionsWent for the day at Sealine Resort which is approximately an hour south of Doha with my wife and few friends. What a beautiful location amongst the sand dunes and on the beach front. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Twinkle who showed us the facilities. A restful day ensued with lunch and supper taken by the pool. All very relaxed. By far the best part of the day was a trip into the Health Spa where Fiona and Ebna gave the best massages ever to my wife and I before we used the steam room. The massage I received from Fiona was a mixture of deep tissue and Swedish massage over 60 minutes. It was simply outstanding! - Amy R12 contributionsI was so excited to stay here and the Outpost did not disappoint! I wanted something different than the generic touristy Sealine camp/group tour and this was definitely it. We decided to take advantage of the pick up service and left our car at the meeting location- if you’ve not driven in the Qatar desert, I’d recommend you get the pick up. If I go back, I’d try with our own car now that I understand the roads and how to get there. Upon arrival, we were a little intimidated at first being the only westerners at the place but we were greeted with a warm welcome and a bowl of fresh dates as well as a tray of apples in our room😍. The ‘tent’ was spectacular and just as beautiful in person as shown online. We stayed in the explorer with a pool, pool was heated and a nice place for a dip. Room was very comfortable with a huge bathroom with shower, a large comfortable bed, plenty of indoor and outdoor personal space.
The food and drink at the restaurant was outstanding. I’m in love with the Al Barari Rose. We only spent one quick night here so could not take advantage of any of the activities but there were quad bikes around and we were offered a tour of the inland sea but couldn’t go because of time. This place is really new and still getting started up so if you head there, be mindful they are still working out any kinks. The WiFi signal is slow and we found it better to just use cellular (but they had wifi… in the desert!) also the rooms don’t have an information book and we weren’t provided anything at check in so be sure to ask for the wifi password and key call out numbers (main office and room service) at check in. They will probably correct this as they get going.
