- Alicia WRichmond, VA13 contributionsThis is a "must do" tour if you're visiting Kuching! We had the amazing Lucian as our guide and he was kind, informative, and an all around joy to be around. He shared a lot about local Kuching history and knows all about local flora and fauna. On our tour we spotted countless frogs, as well as geckos, lizards, a tarantula, and two civets! We had an incredible time and would absolutely book this tour again. Apparently we were thankful to had seen so many as others hadn’t seen any during their feeding time.

We were picked up from our hotel and taken on a 45 minute mini bus journey to our starting point.
Our guide Adam from CPH was fantastic.
His knowledge of the waterways and mangroves we travelled along was incredible.
Clearly passionate about the wildlife and indigenous people living along the river he constantly updated us with relevant and fascinating information. Our boat skipper literally went the extra mile to make sure we were completely safe and enjoyed motoring along the water. We saw Irrawaddy Dolphins, Saltwater crocodiles, proboscis monkey's, kingfishers, longtail mackaw monkeys and when the sun went down, we were treated to the delight of fireflies providing an evening light show. We walked around the beach a little bit and saw very unique rock structures and noticed a few wild bearded pigs walking around. Within the park, we saw a number of different animals like snakes and monitor lizards, I was not fortunate enough to see the proboscis monkey but I believe I will return as I have a few more days here sunblock and mosquito repellent are a must and be prepared for rain which comes and goes there are a number of cool hiking trails and the forest itself is really beautiful with many different trees, some being very unique in that they are covered in spikes. My tour came with lunch, which is a the face style and was pretty good. Our appointed tour guide/ driver Mr Malindo, came early to pick us up from our hotel. He was very polite and friendly and a very careful driver.
His Vehicle a Nissan van was in excellent condition, aircon was cool. We were guided through the Village with great explanations about the different tribes, their livelihood and views of their lodgings. The tour ended with a Cultural Dance Show , not to be missed. Beautiful dance and music.
A must do tour, as this is to know about the roots of people in Kuching, Sarawak.

Unfortunately the quality of the loudspeakers gave problems in hearing what was explained about the different places passed by. - Carole O14 contributionsEasy kayaking down river. We were well looked after. Prompt pick up. Friendly guides and driver. Saw some monkeys and sea eagle with snake in mouth. Lunch good. Climbed up small inlet river to waterfall and also swam in river. - Johnsupport1969Bolton, UK342 contributionsThis was part of an organised trip. If you can only park near the gate it is a 1.5km walk. The rangers call the orangatan after 9 so you can see them feeding at 10. We where very lucky to see one, however it is pot luck. Also if they spot one you need to move to the place quickly. It is not for the infirm or probables with walking. I would also recommend mosquito replant and long trousers with trainers. They are leeches and ticks in certain areas. The cultural centre was such a great experience and we were lucky to see two orangutans at Semanggoh. Simply amazing.
