What travelers are saying
- Hwei O31 contributionsGreat views up, except it was cloudy at the top so we didn’t get to see the full panoramic view of Langkawi. Was very busy and would recommend getting an express pass to avoid the long queues. We didn’t realise the 3D art place was included in our pass, but they still allowed us to visit that the following day which was good of them.Written July 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Julie A15 contributionsGo Early in the morning and you'll practically have the bridge to yourselves!
We didn't bother with any of the village gimmicky shops as were a couple in our 60's travelling without kids so went straight to the bridge as soon as it opened and avoided the crowds.. I was lovely and peaceful. it's not huge but worth the trip as the views are fabulous. You don't need to book this trip through a company as an excursion. just go by grab and buy a ticket from the booth.Written July 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We took the 2 hour tour and it was amazing - great guide and so much to see.Written August 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margriet RSalt Spring Island, Canada201 contributionsNice falls with shady pools to splash in. A hot walk up but worth it if you want to see nature on Langkawi.Written February 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MelbourneTeddMelbourne, Australia49 contributionsWe did the more expensive platform trip and it was well worth it. When we arrived to organised chaos, the tide was out and snorkeling was only an option from the platform. Only after 1pm or so could the beach goers actually snorkel out far enough to see anything.
English information was scarce and food was disappointing, and the boat home left 10 minutes early, not sure what would happen if you were still enjoying the underwater viewing chamber since there were no English announcements!
Would recommend the platform over the beach optionWritten January 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Take along your hat, sunglasses, bottle water and have a good walking shoes then you will enjoy the scenery.Written June 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vincent CSingapore, Singapore17 contributionsWe were the only family team of 3 taking the 2-hr tour as the others were all on the 4-hr itinerary. As a result we had a private tour led by our wonderful guide Ari. He was always clear in his safety and navigation instructions. We got to see pristine beaches and eagle feeding on the tour. If time permits, I strongly recommend the 4-hr tour! You won't regret it! Just make sure you are properly protected in the sun as you would be out in the sea.Written June 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AjayBengaluru, India131 contributionsThese guys are fantastic!
The guide Zac was a treasure trove of information and along with the captain gave us an unforgettable tour of the mangroves, caves, open seas.
We opted for the evening tour, which is good as the waterways are less crowded. But its all about the timing as the tide can catch you off-guard. We had some tense moments but were navigated beautifully.
Our dinner stop helped us savour some really really good food too!Written July 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Customer service was flawless from start to finish. We booked a tour via Whatsapp and within minutes Fauzan replied with all details and confirmation.
My wife and I enjoyed our 4.5 kayak guided tour very much. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Langkawi.
Thank you Fauzan for this memorable experience.Written May 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We paid 150 MR each for 6 rides. Do the quad bikes, That was the best bit. The balloon ride is also fun with good views. Staff are friendly.Written September 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Anoop J1 contributionFarly was a brilliant and fun tour guide and answered any questions we had. He also took various photos (all very well taken) throughout the process and sent to each member of the group after the tour ended, meaning we only needed to focus on the kayaking without the need to take photos.
Overall I really enjoyed this tour and would definitely recommend to others!Written May 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JunSingapore1 contributionLangkawi Scuba is an excellent dive centre that focuses a lot on a safe and enjoyable experience. Warda's experience in both diving and scouting the marine life in Langkawi allowed us to see many different animals, some we would have easily missed if she had not pointed them out. She also emphasises a lot on safety, hence the 2:1 ratio and buddy-lines when we dive. There is no need to fear even if you have no diving experience, or to be nervous when diving. Warda is experienced and provides a safe environment to gain confidence over the dives.
Visibility in Langkawi is not superior, but it is decent enough for you to come up close and personal with the marine life. We were lucky to have better visibility (4-5m) on the day we dive, but this would vary.
As a whole, we truly enjoyed our dive and we will be back!
P.S. Rent a camera to take pictures!Written May 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It would be best if you go there in the morning because it's cooler and not as hot as afternoons. Umgawa is one of the funnest places I've ever been to. Sometimes, you can spot dusky leaf monkeys around the forest and other animals so be sure to take a camera! I suggest to not take pictures with phones because there have been accidents where people have dropped their phones in the forest. It would be best to take a Go Pro camera as I did. The guides were also very friendly, Naim and Nina and kept joking along the way.Written March 13, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
