What travelers are saying
- JunSingapore1 contributionLangkawi Scuba is an excellent dive centre that focuses a lot on a safe and enjoyable experience. Warda's experience in both diving and scouting the marine life in Langkawi allowed us to see many different animals, some we would have easily missed if she had not pointed them out. She also emphasises a lot on safety, hence the 2:1 ratio and buddy-lines when we dive. There is no need to fear even if you have no diving experience, or to be nervous when diving. Warda is experienced and provides a safe environment to gain confidence over the dives.
Visibility in Langkawi is not superior, but it is decent enough for you to come up close and personal with the marine life. We were lucky to have better visibility (4-5m) on the day we dive, but this would vary.
As a whole, we truly enjoyed our dive and we will be back!
P.S. Rent a camera to take pictures!Written May 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Their crew is not only very professional, but also funny and so devoted to their jobs. I've dived with many guides, these might be one of the best I've ever had.
Diving with you guys was such a pleasure.
People told us diving in Langkawi might not be worth it due to poor visibility and not a lot to see. They were right in terms of visibility (but even that was much better than expected). But they were so wrong in terms of marine life.
We went to the stunning marine park Pulau Payar. And what shall I say... It was one of the best dive experience we ever had.
Seahorses, crabs, shrimps, trevallies, barracudas, giant (yes: GIANT) groupers, blue spotted rays, eaglerays, stingrays, sharks... The ocean is teeming with life.
We even got a brydes whale encounter during surface time - breathtaking.
Ah, and I almost forgot: a whaleshark!!!
Thank you so much Scuba Club Langkawi. You will have us back.Written February 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - AntzSee3 contributionsMy family was at Langkawi from 15 Feb to 19 Feb 2023.
Chanced upon Toro Watersports while researching for activities before the trip. We're glad to have hit bullseye and joined their Jet Ski 4 hours Tour, 2 ATV packages (beach and padi fields) and Bottom Fishing!!!
Guides are friendly, accommodative and good at their trades. Fitri (Boss) is responsive to our enquiries and doesn't over-promise. We were assigned Hafif as our driver cum coordinator and he did an awesome job! The 2 ladies at Toro Watersports booth located inside Cenang Mall facing KFC were chatty, friendly and knowledgeable to their trades. Go speak to them to understand more!
Conclusion, we will definitely go back to them for our next trip and will 100% recommend our friends to them!Written February 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My dive instructor Q did a good job by guiding me exploring the dive site while teaching me at the same time. Really enjoyed the dive session throughout. - shammi jKuala Lumpur, Malaysia4 contributionsa good intro diving experience for first time divers like myself. my instructor (i don’t know his name, tall guy who also did our briefing) was so nice and helpful. although it was my first time, he stayed out of my field of view and let me explore without interrupting but stayed close to me at all times and pointed out interesting sealife for me to see. during the briefing, he was encouraging and patient with my husband who has aquaphobia, who also had a different instructor that he was very pleased with. About halfway through the dive, my breathing felt uncomfortable and he pulled me up but encouraged me to try again, even though he could have stopped there and have less work to do. If it wasn’t for my instructor, I’d be very disappointed with the overall experience, as the food wasn’t great and at the start one of the staff tried to charge us 120RM saying it was a leftover balance... I caught him out and they laughed it off. The fried chicken, chips and rice was cold.
the instructor i had is an asset to the company, and if i knew his name would only recommend him to friends looking to dive. i visited on Monday 16/03/20 with my husband.Written March 20, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They got a dive master just for both of us, who guided us attemptively through the entire dives.
It is very adviceable diving with them, top score for us.Written November 8, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They forgot to pick us up from the hotel so not a great start. The "ferry" had no aircon for most of the trip.
The boat from the ferry to shore is packed with as many people as they can fit and to be honest appears to be a safety hazard.
THE COMPANY DO NOT PROVIDE SUN BLOCK.
We accidentally left our sunblock on the ferry (which stayed a bit off shore the entire trip) and asked if they had any spare. The staff replied "no we dont provide it. you are already burnt so it doesnt matter".
I left with severe burns all up my arms and legs - so bad I couldn't walk and soon turned into blisters.
The food was edible but not great..
Coral was dead however the fish were beautiful. Thanks to another guest on the trip we were able to find Clownfish which was awesome! (Look for bluey/purple "balls" with brown "grass" coming out. Hover over for a wee bit and you'll see them!)

They arrange with very good tour operator for school holiday package and bring us around the island for four hours with very nice and knowledgeable staff.
Will book again with them for next trip.Written December 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The itinerary was seamless. From the hotel pick-up and drop-off up to the tour itself, it was efficient and effortless. We got to swim with blacktip reef sharks and enjoyed basking in the sun at the marine park and we had our own private car with driver for the city tour (there are no public transportation in Langkawi Island). Overall, we had great time and the staff are very welcoming and friendly.Written July 28, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
