What travelers are saying
- Julie A15 contributionsGo Early in the morning and you'll practically have the bridge to yourselves!
We didn't bother with any of the village gimmicky shops as were a couple in our 60's travelling without kids so went straight to the bridge as soon as it opened and avoided the crowds.. I was lovely and peaceful. it's not huge but worth the trip as the views are fabulous. You don't need to book this trip through a company as an excursion. just go by grab and buy a ticket from the booth.Written July 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There was a big stage and many tentage so the photos of the eagle square which I had taken was totally different from what I have seen online. It was nice to see carnival n activities and stores selling the locally produced item.Written May 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mskfan03Singapore, Singapore72 contributionsIt's indeed a peaceful place.
As always temples are amazing! It was just too hot, whatever time of the day you go there will be very very hot, but we've still enjoyed it.

But if you already been to langkawi multiple times, this place got nothing more to offer. With entrance fee of rm12 for malaysian adult, i think it's quite expensive considering the exhibitions are old and outdated. I think the last time i went there 10 years ago, the exhibit today are the same with no refurbishments. I see some renovations are on going, hoping will update the exhibition too.Written March 10, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - UptownfoodyToronto, Canada291 contributionsWe visited this church for the Sunday 8 p.m. mass. Very good community spirit, good participation among the faithful and visitors. Happy to have had the opportunity to do the Way of the Cross before Mass as it was the season of Lent.Written March 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Simply Ray1 contributionI found out about this place in trip adviser and drove down together with 3 friends on 14 Nov 2019. Thankfully , the place was free of tourist that day and we were greeted by the chirping swiftlets flying outside, around the building . Upon entering the cave like entrance , the decors inside is very beautifully done up with the feel of a jungle inside a cave adorned with a pond with fishes and other decorative items .
As you walk along towards the end , It will lead u to the main shop inside selling many products but the main draw for me has got to be the birdnest and the tasty and chewy birdnest gummy which is like made from real birdnest and rock sugar. U can try it before deciding to buy . The surprising thing is that Its not too sweet and once u pop one inside your mouth , U will taste the aroma of the bird nest . I bought 4 box and got one free for $100 rm. I also bought 2 bar of soup made from extract of sea cucumber at rm 15 each upon heavy recommendation of the sales staff. I use it at home to wash hand and my hand feels clean and soft after that. It is scentless by the way.
Lastly , we had lunch at the outdoor restaurant and we were totally surprise with the good taste and reasonable price of the food esp the seafood platter aka crab in a bag and the Lala clam soup infused with lemon grass.

The food is alright but the buffalo based drinks including the ice creams are excellent.Written December 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margriet RSalt Spring Island, Canada201 contributionsWhile we really ejoyed learning about the history and legends of Langkawi at this open air museum, we were also surprised that it is quite run down and not well maintained. Several buildings were closed, it's easy to trip on paths etc. But there were a few musicians that made it interesting. Also lots of vendors both inside and outside the museum grounds.Written February 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MinSingapore, Singapore7 contributionsHad a wonderful experience going on mangrove tour by kayak with Selva. He is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in the area, even reciting the Latin names of the plants and mimicking bird calls. Entering the mangroves on kayak was a magical experience - as if it was another world under a canopy of pale green light. I would highly recommend Selva and would not hesitate to engage him for his other tours.Written July 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ruthandvernWilton, CA15,415 contributionsWe arrived about 5:30pm and caught the great senior citizen rate for entry. The elevator takes you to the 18th floor "mid-level" where snacks and drinks are available until the elevator to the top, 33rd floor, is loaded. We went out on the mid-level and walked around the building and socializing with other patrons. The views from the top are terrific. I got some outstanding pictures of the bay, the city, and especially excellent Sunsets..Written February 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
