Once a week (Fridays in Tanjung Rhu), you can but your dinner here for small money. Take Home and enjoy! However, there are soooo many people, så you will not stay long!

We have been at Atma Batik Village with our kids on a rainy afternoon to do their batik painting activity and we really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly, we got to choose the batik patern and they provide the fabric painting. The price is 30 MYR per fabric. We have been briefly taught how to use the colours, how to dilute and combine the primary colours. Allow at least 1 hour to complete the painting and 10 min for drying. They are selling also some nice items inside, unfortunately the shop was closing and we didn't get much time to look around, but bought some lovely handmade table napkins. It would be nice to have someone explain more about their workshop and about batik technique. Overall it's a good experience especially for families with kids or art lovers

Its just another mall with a Starbuck, Old Town Coffee, KFC, money changer and a few other shops. Very clean though. And the money changer here has the best rates.

The chocolate price is comparable to other duty free shop. With CIMB card holder, you will get extra 10% discount which make it cheaper. The ritter sport chocolate is the cheapest here, buy 3 free 1!

Not at all like the malls that Australians like. Many smaller shops and the food court area is basic. The duty free shop was not to my taste.

You can shop for local products mainly art and crafts. The products here are mainly natural products used for health care, self grooming and home decoration.

Had to check what this yellow building was after passing it in grab. The Indian textiles, bags and bedding looked nice but were overpriced considering the quality. Looking at the pots and pans I wondered how much the average salary is in Malaysia, the prices were reaching European levels especially as Langkawi is a tax free "paradise".

Two outlets selling cheap everyday items have opened in the same building as the duty free selling now pots and pans. This used to be the main shopping area in Kuah but only half of the stores have survived, many of those already looking desperate.

We jumped on the 2 wheeled steed and rode through the middle of the island not expecting much especially when we arrived to be the only people in the entire complex( this is a large craft market ). We followed the sign to the rear of the estate and walked in to the display room. Wow just wow. We love glass work and have collected it from a number of places but the craftsmanship was only bettered by the price. Don’t let a map fool you, it’s not a long trip from anywhere and so beautiful if your on a bike. You won’t regret checking it out

From the street the building complex looks empty but behind it operates an open air bazaar selling cheap fashion and food. On the waterfront people are sitting down and admiring sunset over the islands. Hotel Baron has a bistro terrace all along the seaside serving good inexpensive dishes.

The Visual Arts Gallery is hidden in plain sight, I had walked past it several times from my hotel to have dinner nearby. The doors are dark and look closed, the name is on one side, not in front. The current exhibition is about Langkawi before it became a tax free shopping destination with multiple foreign arrivals. I would have appreciated more and bigger photos of this history.

Situated in the middle of nowhere the huge building, a sight on it's own offers a better array of batik clothing than the outlet in KL. The collections show a newer perception of fashion made by the traditional method of tying and dying fabrics. One room is dedicated to hand painted pieces of art to hang on the wall, you can even watch the work in progress

This duty free is the main tenant in the Langkawi Parade mall in Kuah. Besides the obvious sweets and alcohol it sells clothing, shoes and also owns the supermarket and well stocked papershop downstairs. There are inexpensive batik summer clothes in cotton and viscose upstairs.

The mall did not have much to offer except for 3 sports shops and a factory outlet. many shops had apparently closed down. Compared to the stretch at the Cenang stretch and the few shops at Jetty Point, I personally feel we could give it a miss.
