Mt. Asahidake Higashikawa-cho
Set in Daisetsu (“great snows”) is the Daisetsuzan National Park—a vast, spectacularly beautiful snow-covered wilderness.
The lakes are just really beautiful and you are surrounded by so much nature and greenery.
Rebun Island Rebun-to
Cape Kamui Shakotan-cho

GoSnow Kutchan-cho
A great skiing getaway from Singapore and lots of great learning to take to Winter Park, Colorado in Feb 2019.
We ride pretty much everything in the park; including good backcountry tree powder run.
Shiretoko Goko Lake Shari-cho
... highly recommended for condition 2. You’ll need to plan in advance, as the gum boots can only be hired for 500 yen at the Shiretoko Nature Centre, which is located 9km away before you get to Shiretoko Five Lakes.
Personally, I feel that the longer loop is a must in order to truly appreciate the beauty of the park, as it is less crowded than the short boardwalk and you get to see the different lakes.
Rusutsu Resort Ski Rusutsu-mura
The Resort is Summer is an amusement park so you have a wonderful view of roller coasters and ferris wheels when skiing!
I would focus on the smallest side of the resort where you can find the sidecountry parks.
Furano Ski Resort Furano
made us easier to watch the kids and when we came the park was still quiet... felt like a private park for us and d kids... we didnt check the ski area.. cant comment on that.
Nature of Hokkaido at your doorstep.
Kaminoko Pond Kiyosato-cho
As a reward, you'll enjoy the sound of nature, and unbelievably beautiful (even surreal) scenery.
Only 5 minutes walk to the pond from the car park.
Asahiyama Zoo Asahikawa
the snow and icy surfaces made it a little tricky to navigate the park in winter, but we walked at a much slower pace and managed to finish the entire park when it closes at 330pm during winter.
The awesome landscaping was more like a walk in the park than a zoo per se.

Mount Hakodate Hakodate
If you are tired of too much shopping or taking picture of famous places, take a deep breath and feel nature with locals.
Be there early and park yourself at a good spot because the crowd tends to get unruly and queuing will be in vain.

We visited Po river heritage nature park and enjoyed exploring the park by bicycles.
We have been this lake all 2 sides , I would recommend all nature traveler to go and see, its beautiful.

The hike to this area is easy is worth it if you start below at the bus station through the small town, there's interesting plants that surround the nature path, after the walk your feet feel rejuvenated.
The walk if using the walking trail from hell valley is a few kilometers, we took the easy way to drive to the car park near oyunuma pond and walk from there.

Onuma Lake Nanae-cho
A great natural park, plenty of walking trails and boat rides on the lake
Moerenuma Park Sapporo
It was a very beautiful park with water fountains, playgrounds, a glass pyramid, a nice restaurant and many many add ons.....Rented a bike there at an unbelievable low rate and you could tour the park at your own...
But even for those unfamiliar with him, the park can be enjoyed for the natural surroundings, views from high places (hilltops and the top of the glass pyramid), and the Sea Fountain.
Mt. Okura Observatory Chuo
Farm Tomita Nakafurano-cho
Lush landscapes of flowers and having nearby melon park gives an advantage to the visitor to enjoy the yummy melon desert.
During high season the park will be very crowded, so be patient and go earlier in the morning.

Try walking along the river and out towards the other side of the park where less people ventured, but it still lovely to photograph or just walk around.
Most tour buses park in the main coach car park and let their passengers visit the well known fresh water springs.

Shiretoko National Park Rausu-cho
This was the main point of my visit - I joined a local tour, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable, taking us through the woods and explaining the route / trees / animals that lived in the park.
There are roads running up the east and west sides of the peninsula into the park and the Shiretoko Highway transverses the peninsula in the park, but the majority of the park is only accessible by hiking or by boat.
Shikisai no Oka Biei-cho
Free Admission and car park so we decided to purchase some of the local produce in the shop to support the farmers.
Besides the flowers, you can visit the alpaca ranch within the park where it costs 500¥ per entry and 100¥ for a basket of feed which contains 8-10 lettuce leafs.
