Ilhom was an amazing guide. Very sweet and knowledgeable about the area, and fluent in English, Japanese, and Russian. When we realized towards the end of the day that there wasn't enough time to visit the Onsen listed in the description, Ilhom made the extra time to make sure my wife and I could visit. Got to visit great sites including Nagano, The monkey park, Obuse, and a few markets. 100% recommend.

Absolutely fantastic experience. There's not much snow in Takayama town but Jun took us to a mountain where we started trekking. Beautiful one-hour walk to the frozen fall. Mostly easy path, not hard to reach (also, thanks to the nice weather!). Jun is such an amazing guy as he kept telling us in English about the geography, small animals and plants in the area. He took care of us very well.
Then, the frozen fall. Simply magnificent. Gorgeous. It made the trekking much rewarding. Particularly unforgettable to drink a tea Jun offered in front of the fall.
There's unique hot springs with strong iron smell and red colour. I really enjoyed it with seeing snow settings.
Everything was so special. Thanks, Jun. Hope to visit Takayama again.

If you want to experience a true ecotourism activity while in Japan, this is the first stop you should make. This tour group is one of the only ways to gain access to the usually off limits national forest hiking trails and waterfalls in this region. The tour guides are truly essential to be taken to the untouched, beautiful aspects of Japan’s nature that you just cannot get in the major cities. Definitely check them out!

This hiking tour was a short but sweet tour. I got to see this waterfall in the wintery months, hence most the flow was frozen. This only added to the allure that this waterfall provided. Truly loved this beautiful location. Additioanlly the tour guide Yama was a great English speaking guide, help me understand the location and talked about its history and the history of the surrounding area of Takayama. Would recommend to anyone!

Words can’t explain the experience. The beauty, the serenity, the natural water falls, the cultural experience. The time spent wasn’t enough! This is one of the many places I will return to for a longer duration and a local stay. I strongly encourage anyone who visits and especially those who live in Japan to spend time here. Breathe deeply. Appreciate the calming effect of the waterfalls and the natural habitat, the kindness and knowledge of the guides, and immerse yourself. I can’t wait to return!

Went to this Onsen as part of my tour with Yama. The onsen was quite lovely, especially in the wintery months (I visited January). Was nice to finish the day here and warm up the bones. Had a outdoor bath which was quite beautiful as well.

Excellent experience!! The guide Yamapi was very kind. I definitely recommend this tour if you visit and do shower climbing at Takayama.
