A stunning structure near the center of town. Peaceful, well lit, and a delightful destination during daylight hours or after sunset.

The beach is very nice and kept tidy. The staff is helpful.
We also took a 2 hour boat tour with snorkeling. The tour was also nice, however we would have expected a bit more guidance and help from the staff, as the current is really strong and it can take you far away from the boat.

10km away from the chill city center of Aqaba. In this area, you can swim and explore more of the Red Sea overlooking Palestine and Egypt.

Visiting the area to catch the sunset, a lot of locals and tourists alike are doing the most, like some are barbecuing, snorkeling, having snacks and taking rest. Beyond the area, you can also explore more areas of the beach.

Easy to snorkel off the beach here. I took a taxi from town, rented a snorkel and mask from Darna Divers Village for 5JD and snorkelled the Japanese gardens for a few hours. Darna’s minded my bag while I was out- and called a taxi for me when I was finished.
For the slightly nervous, there is a system of ropes and buoys to keep you in the vicinity of the coral drop off.

We had a good time with a 5-year-old - even though it initially looked like a disaster. A lot of the slides require 120cm height, which he could not make. The slides he would have been allowed on were closed pipes, which he found too scary for lack of visibility. The kiddy castle was too noisy and ice cold with way too much water spraying all over the place. Our son did not ride down a single slide! He found bliss in the lazy river. 15JOD is too high a price for this think the parents.

The water park does not advertise the admission + towel + meal deal on the website. It’s a reasonable 5JOD more than the basic ticket.

The admission fee is crazy expensive (in fact the only crazier price is what taxis will charge you to get to the water park). The premises were pleasant, in good shape and well secured by an army of lifeguards.
Given the high cost we’re not coming back until everyone in our party is taller than 120cm.

Mama Gia is an amazing place, wish I visited earlier to spend more time there while in Aqaba. Visiting from California, I only had dinner with my wife, and it was an amazing experience, service, and delicious Italian food. My wife had the veal, and I had the seabass. Our server took us on a tour of the place after dinner, and it was spectacular. We saw the Beach, Pool, Bar, and the wine cellar. Make sure you take your friends and loved ones to visit this place when in Aqaba, I highly recommend it if you want something different and want to be away.
