We went with our 10 year old and used kayak and SUP and is was very safe. - iVoRy THalf Moon Bay, CA134 contributionsThu Bon River Tour is great! The old local retired fishermen couples is still working and running this business. We met at 9am and soon after got on the boat and rode on the boat to meet a fisherman and learn how to fish by pulling the fishing net. After that we were on a little coconut boat visiting the coconut grove jungle. We stopped to try the local coconut desert from a restaurant by the river. Around 11 am, we headed back to the boat for lunch. The couples prepared boiled jumbo shrimp, Vietnamese crepes, fried spring rolls and the Hoi An noodle soup. Around 1pm, we headed back for the shore.
It is in a touristy area but it was fun to see the locals entertaining the foreigners; nice bonus was we did get to see some nice wildlife.
We felt safe the entire tour and are fortunate to see how the local fishermen in Hoi An live.

- Trần R1 contributionI had a fantastic time on the boat tour and cooking class organized by Hifi Travel. The thung boat ride was serene and provided stunning views of the Vietnamese countryside. It was a unique way to explore the area. The tour guide was friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable with their engaging storytelling. The cooking class was a highlight for me as I learned to cook some authentic Vietnamese recipes. The instructor explained the process step by step, making it easy to follow along. The best part was getting to taste the delicious dishes we made. If you go alone, you will still enjoy if you're with a group.
