Got off the ship and had a short walk to meet him. Driver was holding up our name. Very nice and new Hyundai Santa Fe. The driver was all ours for the whole day. We had several stops which we picked and would say meet us in 1 hour. He was promptly there every time. Very good driver and saw exactly what we wanted to see. The price was $120USD for the car and not for each person. It was an incredible price as we went as far as Hoi An which was 1 hour 45 minutes in each direction. - with Jay S1 contributionI have been in Hoi An for about 6 months, and have used Same Same But Better for dozens of rides. They are super fairly priced, provide great communication, and every vehicle I've been in has been clean and well maintained with solid AC. Highly recommend for any private transport services in the area. I've done Ba Na Hills with them twice with different visitors we have had in town, and appreciated how convenient they make it -- our driver offered to purchase our tickets for us and explained all of those logistics, provided clear instruction on how/where to get picked up, and gave us a bunch of great advice to be better prepared (re: food options, weather, timing of our exploraton, etc).Written August 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The young driver was very polite and pointed out a few sites on the 30 minute trip. I was a bit concerned at this use of a mobile phone while he was driving but other drivers did the same. - lindy gMelbourne, Australia55 contributionsWe had a great tour. My family of four were each passengers on the back of a motorbike. We did the Hue Van Pass from Danang to Hue. They sent our bags to the hotel by bus as we had a lot of luggage. They were safe, and professional. It is true what you read that the bikes speedometers don’t work and they are old bikes. But this did not effect our day in any way. They wrote safely and at the speed we requested. We had an awesome day and stopped at many sites. He also helped with our Ba Na Hills transfer. - OlenkaBar8 contributionsWe used this company twice - once from Da Nang Airport to Hoi An and then for a day trip to Ba Na Hills. The communication was fantastic, they provided a baby seat for our 10 month old daughter as well.
Our driver for Ba Na Hills, Mr. Hao was friendly, professional and we felt very safe. My husband Dan and I utilized Ken (Kiên) to take us to Marble Mountain and then My Son Sanctuary. We then just paid our entrance fees when we arrived at these places. This worked out 50% cheaper than booking a tour to both of these places online through TripAdvisor and GetYourGuide.
His car was so clean and super comfortable. He had fresh bottles of water and even ice cold beer for Dan 👍. Fresh cold towelettes after each stop too. His English is fantastic. Everything was perfect.
He took us to his mates shop upon our request and we were there for quite a while, and on New Years Eve too! But this was no problem for Ken! Even picked up a guitar while he patiently waited for us to finish 😃
Don’t book tours online. Save yourself some money and book with Ken!!

The day was perfect, filled with all the attractions around Da Nang, Monkey Mountain, Linh Ung Pagota, Hai Ban Pass, and everything else we could have ever imagined. Can not recommend highly enough. Able to arrange for same day private car return trip from Da Nang to Hoi An. Very reasonable price for clean, comfortable and safe rides. Cheaper than Grab.
For return journey, just indicated where we were with googlemap screenshot and the car arrived within 5min.
