- harryinausSydney, Australia71 contributionsGreat place to visit. 20k per person entry for international travellers. They ask if you want a guide, it wasn’t needed unless you want every plant and animal described in detail.
There was no pressure to take a guide. Place is always being cleaned by staff and worth a couple of hours walking around. Heaps of monkeys and birds, right on the lake. You can take a towel and or picnic rug and relax in grass by the lake. There are some super friendly dogs who are not strays in the park. All in good condition and wanting pats, not a lot of dogs just three or four. They are owned by a neighbour to the park and visit daily.Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were the only visitors and therefore had a private guided tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, telling us all about the animals and answering plenty of questions. It's a small place with about 10 exhibits and it took us an hour to see everything. It's quite basic but they take good care of the animals. The highlight was being able to hold chameleons!Written August 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Way FarerRijeka, Croatia134 contributionsIf you are after a souvenir or two, particularly at the end of your stay in Uganda, this may be a place to go to. Local craft, friendly vendors and a decent choce of goods on offer make it worth a visit.Written November 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mike DTasburgh, UK7 contributionsVisited Mabamba as part of a birding tour of Uganda with Flyways Birding. Well organised viewing in comfortable boats, taking us through many small waterways within the swamp. Excellent close views of Shoebill from very close range, with supporting cast of plovers, bee-eaters, ducks, raptors etc. Good opportunities to photograph these plus the Village Weaver colony near the reception area. A must for birders in Uganda.Written December 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HobbyLiverpool, UK1,582 contributionsDrove out from Entebbe, took about 90 mins (but much quicker if you can catch the ferry), we went out for about 3 hours with a guide and a boat driver, we saw loads of birds including a shoebill, it was great fun, many thanks.Written November 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alexander C5 contributionsWow! What an amazing experience from start to finish! Our guide Amos was the most patient and knowledgeable person i could have asked for on our first safari through all corners of Uganda. He picked us up from the airport and always made sure we were fully stocked with water and everything else we needed. Whole exceeded every expectation I had set. I can't imagine having done this trip with anyone else and will certainly ask for him if we ever do another safari in the future.Written November 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KvahisSouthwest Finland, Finland48 contributionsA unique adventure that Piece of Uganda Safaris tailored just for us, an almost 70-year-old couple. From Entebbe to north all the way to Moroto. Then we moved to the Kenyan side, where we got to see a little of the unique Turkana region and Lake Turkana. An incredible experience. From Turkana, to the south having several safari game drives Nakuru, Naivasha, Nairobi and finally by train to Mombasa. This was our fourth trip to Africa lasting almost three weeks and again we saw many new areas and places of the Eastern Africa. This was second one organized by Piece of Uganda Safaris, They really care about their customers.Written November 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
