There are plenty of these caves/dwellings in the area, sometimes as a group, other times, you see the odd one or two.
As a result, don't get too fixated about seeing any specific ones (especially not worth going on a tour/paying high entry fees).

Hard to fathom how they lived this way.

I stopped here as a part of a tour and saw it overhead from a hot air balloon ride, and I felt satisfied with that. If I did return, I would hike it, but I would say it's not entirely necessary to do that. There are plenty of amazing sights in Cappadocia; this one felt very similar to Imagination Valley, which I thought was more interesting.

At the Coffee Museum in Cappadocia, Mustafapasa, through the availability of special people, namely Nazha and Busra, we learned wonderful things, sharing the history of coffee, culture and Turkish traditions. Then Haci Mehmet served us a wonderful Turkish coffee in an environment worthy of a sultan, being sweetened with the traditional Turkish delight. We continued our exploration at the Clay Workshop, and the 4th generation master initiated us into the art of pottery, taking home the first clay vessels made with our own hands. The day ended with a hearty meal in Azerbaijan style at the Zeferan restaurant in the premises of Ajwa Park. Thus we spent a day of vacation in a fairytale place, with welcoming people eager to introduce us to the atmosphere of the place. Congratulations!

This museum is very interesting because of several reasons. First: it's a very well done restoration of the ancient house, even with old frescoes. Second: it's almost the whole history of the world and its' people using a tremendous number of wery nice dolls. Third: these dolls are art masterpieces theirselves. Fourth: there are many old things there, such as furniture, for example. And fifth: very sympathetic owners and their friends as guides, we even got aquainted with some of them! So after our visit on Sunday 20 of October (we were 5 - 4 adults and boy of 6) we recommend this museum to all tourists coming to Mustafapasha.

Examples of what the human survival instinct can do. Amazing constructions in these underground cities.

Really beautiful cave house! We found it by chance, since we were looking for a place to shelter from the rain. But it was one of the places we liked best of our whole visit in Cappadocia. It has multiple floors and since there is furniture in it, it really gives you an idea how life in these cave houses has been. Highly recommended to pay a visit!

We visited the Ebru gallery and watched a demonstration of water painting by Guler Somturk where she created one-of-a-kind textiles and paintings on different objects. We were given the opportunity to then create our own project guided by the master artist using the Ebru method. It was unique, interesting and a lot of fun. My wife bought one of Ms. Somturk’s silk scarves which has received many complements from her friends since our return home.

This is place is a 100% MUST VISIT if you want to experience the hospitality and finest Turkish rugs in the world. The owner and his family welcome visitors with delicious tea and snacks and spend hours pulling out a variety of rugs - ranging in size, material, and symbolism. What sets the owner - Orhan - apart is his knowledge of the various shapes and patters used by rug artists and what they mean. You feel like you're not just buying a rug, but bringing home a treasure with deep symbolism and meaning infused. On our way out, Orhan and his family assured us we would always have a family there and are welcome at their house any time with anything we need. Now every time I look at the artistic masterpiece I bought from them, I am returned to the warmth and depth of this experience. DEFINITELY a highlight of our trip!

Pancarlick Valley is nice, very photogenic and full of amazing rock formations. It also holds the Pancarlik Church, carved into the rock about 1,400 year ago, and whose frescoes covering the walls and the ceiling are still in reasonable good shape, considering the age. It is remote, quiet, no other visitors when we got there, and makes for an enjoyable experience. It will be worth your time and effort.
