An excellent visit that you must do. A complete underground city. It can be tight and low in some places. Definitely worth a visit.

This is the deepest tunnel complex open to the public in Cappadocia and you get to go 8 levels below ground and witness where many thousands of people once lived underground. The history of the area is fascinating.
The floors are fairly good but tunnels are steep in places, not good if unfit.

We visited Chez Galip as part of a tour.
We were warmly welcomed with apple tea, which we sipped as a student potter made a demonstration in front of us.
We were then led into a sort of showroom which featured handmade ceramics articles, one more amazing than the other.
The best ones were those that glowed in the dark.
The prices were also reasonable considering they are handmade.
    Worth a visit!

I’ve lived in Turkey 4 years and spent a lot of time rug shopping! The shop owner Vahdi stands out as a decent, honest and lovely man who is happy to show you his collection without any pressure to buy. His collection is varied and he goes out of his way to help you find the right Kilim for you! I would highly recommend!!

The Tokali Church is carved in a huge rock just across the Goreme open air museum parking lot.
Entry to this Church is FREE, you do NOT need to have the museum ticket.
The Church is very small, but with stunning blue frescoes in it. It's a 5 min visit.

This workshop, partially built into a hillside, creates ceramic pieces from nearby Red River clay. There is a showroom of more simple "tourist" pieces, and a large gallery of high-quality "collector" ceramics with intricate local designs. The best pieces have a significant amount of ground quartz included to make them more durable. The owners will demonstrate the creation of some of their signature forms, and are most hospitable.

Last month we where at Kapadokya for a family visit. To see the beautifull area arround Kapadokya. We saw this wineshop and could use a nice handmade wine for diner.
The owner and workers were really helpfull choosing the right bottles for our family diner.
We tasted a lot of the handmade products, what gave us so much more extra, then choosing from a label!
We bought more bottles then we plannend, to let also our dutch family experience the handmade wines of the land of Kapadokya!
I really advice everbody near to kapadokya to visit this shop, to try and take some nice handmade wines for the family at home!

When a nice warm atmosphere and a sincere person meet, very pleasant moments arise. We were well received and well dispatched. Besides, you should definitely try making pottery, it's a really fun and stress-relieving activity. I hope you have a chance to visit.
