Short walk through the canyon to a point where you needed to walk through water which we didn't do. Nice to see but that much to warrant a long drive there.

The Dam of Seyhan is not only a big dam but also the largest recreational area in Adana. If you have a car, you can drive through the dam area to go for a walk, visit some kebab restaurants or sit at the parks nearby the dam.

Yumurtalık is a town located at the Mediterranean Coast. It is a small but nice town. There are many summer houses and some hotels. There are not much large resort facilities but can be a nice place for daily beach visits.

It was still closed mid January, but we were able to see through the fence some of the big pieces: statues, pillars...as they were keeping them outdoors.

I found that the neighborhood around the clock-tower to have the most character, meaning that is is home to the historical bazaar and more ottoman flavors of the city. Though I wasn't in the mood for what looked like some of the best liver kebabs I have seen, I tracked down a confectionery close by that was producing some of the best Lokums and tahini-based sweets.

A beautiful sprawling green space down by the river in the shadow of the imposing mosque, Merkez is extremely popular for families in the afternoon and evening, and is a great spot to exercise in the morning. The loop around the entire park is around two miles, and there are numerous pathways through the middle in all directions. Very pretty place.

At the end od Kapikaya canion, there is a village called Hacikiri. You can start Belemedic valley trek right there. It is nearly 20 km trek in the middle of pine forests in foothills of Taurus mountain. The scenery is breathtaking. At the end lies the village of Belemedik. Be advised, Hacikiri has a small market, but there is none in Belemedik. There is a railroad there, connecting Adana to Konya, but most of way you are inside unending tunnels.
