A completely average experience for Thai beaches. They were clean and the vendors pleasant. Don’t forget to bring paper for the toilet. 5baht for the toilet and 10 baht to shower.

This is a fun theme park aimed mainly at youngsters who will enjoy seeing the animals in a totally artificial but enjoyable American style farm. The huge shop offers such US delicacies as toasted marshmallow ice creams.

This place is approximately a 20 minute taxi drive from Cha am. The scenery is pretty on the way. The setup is simple, basically climb stairs to a platform and watch the bats emerge from the cave (from a distance). Enjoy a fascinating experience in nature with your kids. Definately worth a stop!

Before you go, something very important to keep in mind about taking photos and related behavior. If you have kids or if you like to travel with dolls or plush toys, make sure NOT to take ANY pictures with the toys once you’ve entered the palace gate.

We learned it the hard way, we brought plush toys and took pictures with them. We had a great time until the staff saw us. The lady asked us to delete the last few photos on the spot. She didn’t do a very good job explaining why she’s asking us to delete our pictures. We didn’t understand and I feel that both sides were offended. They stopped us AGAIN at the gate to ask us to show them our phones and camera, and to delete ALL photos with toys. They don’t even allow the key chain or bag accessory kinds of plush toys that some may hang on their backpacks. We kept asking and finally the lady said it’s impolite. We had no idea that know it was disrespectful (to the royal family?). They were very strict about it. We stood there for an entire ten minutes going through everything. They double checked and triple checked, zooming in to every photo we took. They even asked us to delete photos of us jumping.

So my guess is that we’re expected to behave VERY solemnly, no toys, no jumping. And I’m guessing we are to behave as we would when visiting a monastery or a church, not to appear like we’re having fun. The thing is, we are not aware of ANY of these “rules” until after we have unintentionally violated them. No one had told us anything about this. If they had warned us beforehand at the entrance, we wouldn’t have taken these pictures.

My advice is to NOT bring ANY toys into the palace area, or at least not let them see that you have. Or else, it’s highly likely that they will stop you to check all your photos. I believe this is a very important piece of information to share here in order to avoid any unexpected misunderstanding and unpleasant cultural shock.

I’m rating this place a 4 star because of the wonderful ocean view, the amazing historical architecture and the gorgeous gardens, but am taking out the last star for the unpleasant experience with the pictures.

This market is open Wednesday evenings, beginning around 5:00. Many stalls selling clothing and food. Grilled prawns, curries, soups, grilled meats of all kinds, desserts, fruit, and more. There are a few stalls that allow sit down eating, but most are take away. Along one edge of the market, there are several actual restaurants where food and beverages can be had. Great place for people watching. Seems like half of Chaam comes out for the Wednesday evening gathering. Well worth a visit if you're in Chaam.

All around the internet and cellphone apps is said that the trail is 1,5 kilometres long and easy.
    It isn't!
The length is over 5 kilometres. You climb up and down 3 peaks and if you walk to the Sang Thong holy well, the terrain is really difficult: steep hill, big sharp rocks. It took 2 hours 40 minutes for us to complete this trail.
Not for the old people, not for people who are not fit. It is quite hard to climb up and down steep slopes, though stairs can be found here and there.
The first viewpoint, Thung Setthi is ok for the older and unfit people.
Take at least 2 litres of water with you and take a rest when you feel like it.
Flip flops or crocs aren't the proper shoes here. Good sneakers or trekking sandals are ok.
The views from each viewpoint and along the route are fabulous! Totally worth all the effort.
We didn't see any snakes there. Some small lizards in lower parts oh the mountains. Many different birds can be seen.
If you are an outdoors person, this is for you. Take enough water, take breaks and enjoy the views.

Nice place for little kids. If you have little ones below the age of 6 then this place is a good stop for a couple of hours. Feeding the bunnies are going to be the kids favorite activity.

The area is pleasant with trees and beautiful ponds. Well-paved path meanders through the Green, good for walking, running, and cycling. People go for morning and evening exercise, but it is not crowded. There are exercise equipment in one area and a small coffee place in another area. There are information signs for certain trees, so this is a good recreation and learning place. During April, bright yellow Cassia flowers welcome visitors along the path.

Great place to spend a couple or three hours. The animals and birds are very well looked after. Free to go in on the condition adults buy some food for the animals for 100baht. So many different types of animals and birds to feed and pet. You can go inside an aviary to feed the small parrots for buying 20baht food and you can buy food for the animals, birds and fish all around the park for 20baht a go,
My kids aged 3 and 2 loved every minute and all around the park are small play areas. We didn't eat there but the food was reasonably priced for Thai food or steaks of Beef, Pork, Ostrich and Crocodile to name a few. I know eating the animals might seem bizarre but this is Thailand and if it helps keep the park open then why not?.
    We will definitely go back.

This is a small zoo with limited kinds of animal. However, there many photoshoot spots that you can enjoy. You can closely mingle with cute animals. Feeding giraffes, camels, goats, sheep, birds, whatever you like.
