What travelers are saying
- Fiona ZAlaska8 contributionsJairos and Vienna are very responsible tour arrangers. They respond to emails quickly and they make efforts trying to meet our requirements. Food was good the whole time and they made sure we had fruits, water, and snacks every day. Our guide Ezekial was professional and very experienced. We felt safe and secured even when the road condition was rough when it rained. We learned a lot about animals from our guide and thanks for the knowledge!
Thanks again for arranging us such an unforgettable trip. I’m already in love with this beautiful land and will be coming back.Written October 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kate O2 contributionsIt was so good to have everything planned for us and our guide, Cosmas, was so good at finding things that I wanted to photograph and very knowledgeable about the wildlife. We were also in awe at his driving and avoiding of potholes. Ute was so helpful while I was planning the trip (including the change in timing by 3 years due to Covid).Written February 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - arganierRennes, France30 contributionsI discovered Lewis, who is one of the tour operators, when I booked for a stay at Meru Hostel in Arusha. One of my dreams was seeing Ngorongoro. So I asked what can U offer me for Ngorongoro and Tarangire ? And immediately I’ve a proposal. and it was a really good proposal, so I answered right away. I really don’t regret it. We spent with my friend two wonderful days. First we went to Tarangire NP, then we spent the night not far from Ngorongoro, in a lodge, Fig Tree Lodge and Campsite, where the food and room were very good. The 2nd day, direction Ngorongoro. U can’t imagine how I was happy being in this gorgeous caldera. An experience I will never forget all my life. Our guide was so kind with us, he made everything for us and participated to this beautiful moment. We spent maybe 4 hours in the caldera.
Lewis we also booked a excursion in a Chagga village. This tribe is living around Kilimanjaro. Their agriculture is based on ancestral organic fertilization where they mixed Bananas trees, Coffee plants and small other small plant ( sorry I don’t remember the name). With the local guide, we first go to Materuni waterfalls, on the foot of Kilimanjaro. Nice walk on a little path, between farms. Then we went back to our family’s guide, where we learned how make our coffee. For myself, who like so much coffee, it was so great. As U can read, we had such a nice experience with Glitzy Safari. Thank U so much Lewis.Written August 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great job guysWritten March 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - AnonimoPamplona, Spain35 contributionsWe met Ayoub and Jobson Safaris by chance, but thanks to them we have been able to know and enjoy the authentic Tanzania (its people, its traditions, its natural landscapes, …)
At Babati, we could explore and know the area in depth, with its picturesque villages and markets, canoeing on the lake and knowing its fauna, bathing in the waterfalls and getting to know the different tribes in the area, talking and interacting with them, ... All this from the hand of Ayoub and Ally (Babati's guide and one of the best men we have ever met).
In Arusha, Ayoub showed us some of the work he is doing in the community, through his NGO, KUKUA PAMOJA (which means growing together).
We were in a school (where they carry out educational work on hygiene and health, the environment, etc.), in the place where women from different tribes learn a trade so that they are economically independent, in the house that is reforming to be able to reach more women, etc.
And also, we enjoyed some spectacular waterfalls and a walk along the slopes of Mount Meru, we visited a coffee plantation and medicinal trees, we learned to make coffee in the traditional way of the area and to use the different medicinal plants, we walked through the different neighborhoods of Arusha listening to the history of the city and Tanzania, we tasted local food and drinks, …
In Marangu and Lushoto, thanks to the guides recommended by Ayoub, we were able to enjoy the culture/history and the nature of the area, with peace of mind.
Jobson Safaris promotes sustainable tourism while supporting local communities, which is very important to us. Ayoub did everything he could to accommodate our wishes and we enjoyed some wonderful days together.
If we return to Tanzania, we will contact him without any doubt. He has been more than a guide, we consider him a friend!
