- David Scorgie5 contributionsI had the pleasure of visiting the Tanzanite Experience in Arusha during my recent trip to Tanzania, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The showroom was impressive, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. They gave me a tour of the facility, explaining the history of Tanzanite, its mining process, and how it is graded and certified. I was amazed to learn about the rarity and unique properties of this beautiful gemstone.
The highlight of my visit was, of course, seeing the stunning collection of Tanzanite jewelry. From classic designs to more contemporary pieces, there was something to suit every taste and budget. I ended up purchasing a beautiful pair of earrings for my wife, and she has received so many compliments on them since returning home.Written March 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Wonderful staff, many souvenirs, gifts, paintings, wallpapers and statues of people and animals of the region. Unfortunately I missed Tanzanite stones. Hope to have other chance to visit again. I bought some handmade pots. Worth a visit.Written March 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gathoni K2 contributionsThe Museum is within walking distance from the clock tower in Arusha CBD. You can easily have a coffee in the area and walk in for a quick look around. Go to the back entrance exit to see the painters at work and get some wares when you're there.
You could get a guide but I didn't need to take one.
Very affordable too. (TSH 2,500 without a guide)Written March 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margaret L8 contributionsWonderful, huge art gallery that was more like a museum than a gallery. The range of art was amazing and the prices were suprisingly reasonable. We had two hours to spend there and we could have spent a full day. Really wonderfulWritten February 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - marjanawayToronto, Canada50 contributionsThis small but significant museum is informative in its simplicity, highlighting the proud quest for independence in Tanzania with a historical overview from past to present. It shed light on the aspirations of the founding fathers of the nation. It is next to the monument erected in the honour of the declaration.Written October 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mia KNew York5 contributionsThe authenticy of sales associate Owen Minja! We met him at the House of Gems retail location at the Four Seasons Serengeti where my husband surprised me with the option to select a stone for my birthday. I think Owen was just as excited for me as I was. He was incredibly professional, taught us about Tanzanite, and was patient with me as I shopped through loose and set stones. I never once felt pressured, just cared for! It was a day we will never forget and we made a gorgeous purchase that we hope to pass on for generations to come. Thank you Owen and the House of Gems!Written February 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NsparSeattle, WA60 contributionsWe had great service from Shadruck! This is a real jewelry store with quality well designed pieces. It’s in a nice shopping mall. We got a 5% discount off the listed price. Prices were fair and we visited the main office so they could adjust a couple pieces and could see where they make the jewelry. A great place to shop and Shadruck is a well known gospel singer. Great experience!Written January 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
