Amazing experience with 5 days full of beautiful wildlife watching. Truck and accommodations were good and the food included in the tour was great. Perhaps the best tour I’ve ever done.

We’ve seen a family of elephants bathing, a group of lions feeding on a buffalo, rhinos, cheetah in action, Hippos, hyenas and so much more. Experiencing these animals up close is amazing and driving through the Ngorongoro crater makes one feel as if you are experiencing the Lion King in real life.

The food our private chef prepared was without exception very well cooked and he managed to surprise us daily with a mix of Tanzanian curries, lasagne (made in a bush oven!), French fries and freshly baked bread every morning.

Accommodation was a resort close by the parks for the first and fourth night and tent camps for the second and third nights.

All in all a unique experience with great staff that was well organized by Serengeti Wakanda!

This tour greatly exceeded my expectations. As a guide, Muddy was really excellent in terms of his enthusiasm, his knowledge, and his energy to keep us going all those hours. We saw hundreds of zebras, 50 giraffes, 50 lions, two leopards, and dozens of hippos. You’ll regret not going with them. Even their support team was great, getting me to and from the airport at odd hours.

We were a group of 5 that travelled from the US to Tanzania and booked a safari trip with Assad. From prior to arrival, Assad was easy to work with and communicate our needs / specific plans for the trip. He was flexible tailoring the experience to our needs (specifically diet accommodations etc).

Our flight landed in Kilimanjaro before heading to Arusha and Serengeti. Our initial booking was for a night in Arusha at a place that we didn’t like upon arrival - but Assad made sure we found something within minutes and was generous to cover the price difference without any additional cost to the group.

The safari experience was great. Our guide, Lucas, was experienced, informative, fun to travel with and just overall pleasant to be around. Brought a lot of energy to an exciting trip.

One thing we realized towards the end that Assad tries to work with a lot of locally owned businesses to empower the community and that for us was a cherry on the top for this amazing experience.

Would highly recommend everyone to book this!

This tour was absolutely amazing!!! Every experience was spectacular. I was traveling solo and joined a group of other 5 people (similar age). We had so much fun during those days, accommodation was perfect, the food by Salim was amazing, the duration was just right, and the best thing was our guide Iddy. He has the best knowledge and experience and he took us to the best places. I saw elephants, lions and jiraffes closer than I ever thought I would. We saw the Big 5 in just 2 days, we saw migration crossing, and every day our views were even better than the day before. Our guide was also amazing in helping us bargain for best prices and value, and taking us to good places for shopping souvenirs without receiving "tourist prices". I definitely recommend this experience for anyone, it's one of the best trips I've had in my life!

We had a fantastic time on our 5 days/4 nights trip to Tarangire and Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We booked this trip with a different tour operator, but as they (and many other operators) were facing issues due to the global situation, we were assigned to this operator. We were a group of five people aged 25 - 35, and were very lucky to be guided by Malisa. It was particularly nice to see how much he enjoys his job, how much he cared about doing everything for us and how he lit up when sharing his vast knowledge about the animals, plants, as well as the local culture with us. Besides that, he was incredibly nice and we had a lot of fun with him on this trip. We got to see so many animals! All of our expectations were by far exceeded. It was amazing to be so close to the animals and having them all around us without even having to search for them, and being able to observe them in their natural habitat. The accomodation was simple, but the tents, mattresses and sleeping bags were as promised. There was some rain one night and in the Ngongoro camp it was rather foggy in the morning, but the tent remained dry and it was warm enough to sleep comfortably. We were lucky to get three freshly cooked meals a day and even got cold drinks (water, coke, sprite, wine and beer) from the fridge in the car.

Mohammed is an excellent manager, and Joseph is an excellent guide. Joseph could spot animals that were insanely hard to find, at great distances, while driving at high speeds. He positioned the car perfectly to take photos.

Mohamed was a fair negotiator, who is extremely receptive to feedback. He was 100% straight forward and honest, in an industry where honesty is often lacking. He always answers questions directly and clearly. He also expertly handled problem Safari guests. I really enjoyed working with him to arrange my Safari! Lake Manyara was a little lack luster Compared to the other parks, (due to flooding) next time I will opt for an additional day in Serengeti. Overall, the trip was amazing and we saw a lot of Animals. I will be back!

    Amazing experience with meru slopes!
We choose this company because all the good reviews they have in trip advisor. They have an excelent price, quality, reliability and flexibility.
To start with Geofrey the mánager would always reply all our questions very quickly.
We also had to change the dates of our safari because of covid and he was super flexible about it and get us the new dates that were suitable for us.
The pick up at the airport was on time and the driver was super friendly. The hotel was also nice.(Venice hotel)
We had an issue with our luggage because the airline didn't send it in the same flight and since we were starting the safari the day after arriving in the evening they help us to get first need products and borrow a backpack and towels.
We gave Geoffrey's contact to the airline and he arranged with them to send our luggage to the Serengeti national park. This was amazing considering how far it is and how much we were in need of it. Douglas our guide gave us a great surprise picking the luggage at the Serengeti airport.
Regarding the safari our guide Douglas would always do his best for us to spot animals, drive where ever is needed, gave us plenty of time to take as many pictures as we wanted and answer all our questions. He has a great knowledge, lots of experience, is a great driver and amazing person. This makes you feel very comfortable and safe.
We would share breakfast lunch and dinner every day and had great talks about nature, african culture and life in general. Of course we got to see the big five and many other animals thanks to him. He made of our safari an unforgettable experience.
The food was always plenty, tasty and healthy. Also we had unlimited water. Our cook Buga was a great person and super friendly . He would have all meals ready on time and suprise us with many different and nutritive dishes both from International and African cousine.
We also learn from them a lot of Swahili language.
We shared the tour with another three people from different countries which made the experience a lot more interesting and wasn't a problem at all with the space in the car. You can charge your phones and have wifi depending reception.
We did the 6 days program which we highly recommend to have more chances to spot animals and see the different parks .
A BIG thank you to all Meru Slopes staff!!

What an amazing experience! Totally fantastic despite a few hiccups. While driving through the Serengeti the wheel literally came off our jeep. Our driver Peter was amazing and calm. He got us all sorted and transported to our camp site for the night, while he stayed and fixed the wheel. He didn't make it to camp til 10.30pm, we cheered with joy to welcome him, alive and well, if a little hungry. We had an amazing sunrise game drive in the Serengeti the following morning and then our jeep had to go to hospital to ensure we could make it back accross the park. This unfortunately took a little longer than anticipated and we spent the day entertaining ourselves at the campsite. Thanks to Silvano we feasted well the whole trip. A late arrival to our campsite that night meant we had to put up our own tents in the dark at 10.45pm, we weren't too happy about that but HAKUNA MATATA. A midnight dinner and a few hours sleep then Peter was there smiling away as he took us for sunrise into the crater. Absolutely amazing 🤩. All in all, one of the best experiences of our lives. We love Peter. And Silvano rocks also. Thank you Nelson for organising.

The Suricata team knows their job and they do it perfectly! I spent hours looking for, comparing, and talking to other tour operators and none of them compare to Suricata! From the first email sent to our safari experience, we couldn’t be more pleased. They arrange everything for you, are extremely responsive and attentive to your needs (customized/upgrade options available). Our guide/driver, Mbonae, was SO nice and friendly. He took such good care of us while in the parks. He made sure we could see all the animals and knew where to find them! The food prepared by the chef Maiko was excellent! We shared the experience with two other couples we didn’t know and it’s like Suricata knew we would get along so well! It was a wonderful experience! I wish we would have done a longer safari!

Could not have asked for a better safari experience! The organisation, thoughtfulness, and enthusiasm of Meru Slopes’ staff was unreal throughout the entire weekend. Myself and my friends (group of 10 altogether) had a brilliant time and even got to see he big five within the first two hours of being in the Serengeti. The staff were so attentive to detail and made special efforts for us to see animals that are rare to come across on safari (eg leopard and cheetah).

The tents and camping facilities were good and reliable and the food was amazing. Our chef, Moshi, went above and beyond to cater to myself and one of my friends as we both have allergies, and we truly did not have to worry about a thing the entire weekend.

Genuinely so happy with the experience and would definitely recommend Meru Slopes to anyone booking a safari in Tanzania.

It was the most interesting trip in all my staying in Zanzibar. The picture from BBC animal world has been alive. We were happy to see all “big 5”. And I should thank so much to our guide Saadi for unforgettable adventure. He knows everything about animals, gave us lots of information. His sense of humor, kindness and professionalism made our trip absolutely wonderful. If you are going to safari choose Simba safari and Saadi as a guide.

After searching many tour companies I selected Taralight.
As a Solo traveler many others were charging at least 30% more and not an itinerary to my liking. Taralight was very accommodating and had better selections. I did choose Basic Camping, which may not be suitable if you’re looking for comfort & amenities. All necessities were provided for camping: sleeping bag, tent & sleeping pad. They do provide better options if you so choose.

My trip was 8 nights / 9 Days which is much longer than many choose to do.
    This included:
Lake Manyara & Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Arusha Park,
Mto wa Mbu Walking Safari ( actually walking hillsides and plantations above
Mto wa Mbu) and visiting Hadzabe & Tatoga Tribes in Lake Eaysi.

It is very impressive to see all the wild animals on their migration. When you look across the plane you see from end to end a long steady stream of animals wildebeest, zebras, impalas , gazelles And at times a sprinkling of cape buffalo, elephants & giraffes along with many birds. All the while you know that there are lions, leopards, cheetahs & hyenas lurking nearby. Many times you just hear their growls and rumbling called ”rolling”, but you cannot see them.

You will see leopards & lions in trees, lions, lioness & cub As well as a Cheetah with about a 6 month cub. Cheetahs are extremely difficult to spot as they also lay very low in the high grass.

We had daily game drives in all areas some as early as 6 am others at 8am, returning to camp at 6pm. We would stop & have boxed lunch which are prepared by a chef that makes all meals that accompanies you on the safari.

Our guide Fhazil was very knowledgeable and would take the time to stop and give everyone plenty of time to take photos and explain. Our Chef: Kevin was also very accommodating and prepared good food.

Visiting Tanzania was quite an experience in all aspects. The area around Kilimanjaro Arusha is an agricultural area as well as maasai pastures. The whole landscape is a very amazing vast expanses of planes as far as the eye can see. It is truly a sight to behold and something not to miss before human encroachment reduces and changes the whole environment.

The Hadzabe Tribe visit was one of the best days Spent! These are Hunter / gathers and are the only tribe allowed to hunt. I also went on a short walking hunt with 5 men. They hunt with bow/arrow.
Quite an experience as well as educational.
    • If you have time and are interested put this on your list!

Each area visited is different in terrain, scenery and wildlife.
    • Manyara many trees not too much open area.
    • Tarangire, more open not as dense with trees
    • Serengeti vast open grasslands, plains with horizon to horizon expanses of
Wildlife and what I call savannahs.
    • Ngorongoro Crater, fairly flat crater with abundant wildlife.
    • Arusha Park: At foot of Mt Meru, lakes, hilly, trees and some open areas. No
    predators but other wildlife.

The people are friendly although they do want the American dollar which is understandable on average they earn $300 a month. Young boys no older than 6-8 making cement blocks by hand, herding Cattle or goats, older women carrying bales of grass on their backs. Men working alongside the road clearing grass using machetes, plowing fields walking behind Oxen. This is just a simple reminder of how many, many people live today in less prosperous nations.

A final thanks to LIGHTNESS ARNOLD LEMA, my contact with Taralight.
He was very attentive and communicated very well and took care of making all arrangements. Airport pickup, driver, suggestions for individual day trips which were not part of the safari.

Many Thanks to all my guides:
All were very knowledgeable, patient , good language and most of all very personable.
They made my safari and experiences very rewarding
Fhazil Lake Manyara, Taragire, Serengeti, & Ngorongoro Crater.
    Lio Lobulu: Arusha Park
    James: Lake Eyasi
Daniel : driver that picked me up from the airport, showed me Arusha, Lake Duluti, Maasi Village, Morombo ( maasi market where goats are sold as well as what is called BBQ alley) and finally drove me to the Hike of Maturni Falls and also to Moshi.

There are other Tour agencies that are available that cost much more, I must say I was very happy & do not hesitate in saying I made the Right Choice.

I had high expectations for this safari, but they were exceeded. If you are still considering, I strongly suggest you to go to safari. You won’t be dissapointed.

I was throughly satisifed with Safari Sole Tours. Everything was done professionaly. I was properly informed before the trip, I got fast replies to my questions and had nothing to worry during my safari. Oh and the food. It is not those backpacking meals where you just add hot water. All the food was done from scratch and it was delicious.

Safari itself is amazing experience. Certainly something you need to experience. We saw big 5 and much more. Serengeti and Ngorongoro are truly places you want to see.

Price might seem high at first, but as it includes accomodations, park tickets, food and transportations to and from airport it is actually very chep considering how wonderful the experience is.

I give Safari Sole Tours and whole safari experience Big 5 out of Five! Book it! You won’t regret it.
