Myself and a few other pilots are in Arusha for a week for work, and we like to get out and explore, so we decided to book a day trip to bike to basecamp of Mt. Kilimanjaro (Mandara Hut).

We booked the trip for 4 of us, we're met in the hotel by all three people, the owner, the guide, and the driver.

After a few hours drive, we started the hike.

It was a long day, but full of amazing views, great conversation, and lots of amazing things learned hiking, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and safety from our guide Zakayo (he also goes by Zak).

Zak knew so much about everything, was happy to share and teach, and you can really tell he has passion about his home, hiking, being connected to the mountain, and a love to introduce that to other people.

He even took it a step further and taught us about the Tanzanian people, and Swahili culture.

Zack absolutely made the day, and went so far above and beyond, that that's all my friends and I could talk about on the few hours car ride back.

Side note, for those that want to do the full 7-9 day Mt. Kilimanjaro trek to the summit, trust me, Zak is your guy for this mission and you absolutely want him.

He's very knowledgeable about climate, weather, human factors such as how we're affected by elevation, and what to do should problems or issues arise.

Do check this company out, they were great, on time, communicated very well, and take a lot of pride in the service they offer.

Zak's English is great too and kept us laughing most of the time, we all need a Zak in this world!!

Our driver Gucci was awesome too.

All the best and safe travels everyone.

Great day trip to Ngorongoro Crater. Our driver cum guide, Joseph, was friendly and knowledgeable. We were staying at a slightly remote home stay, but they remained in constant communication and showed up on time at 5:30am. We were a small group of 6 people. The rest stops were decent and so was the breakfast and lunch. Lots of animals in Ngorongoro, including lions. Joseph made sure we had enough time for viewing and taking photos

Demanding hike. Take your time for the ascent and it is best to start before 8a.m. so that you have enough time on the mountain.

So glad we went. Our guides were considerate and paved themselves to the limitations of our group ( some bad knees) and extremely knowledgeable. They carried our food and water and even carried one gal’s day pack. This is not an easy stroll and they made sure we were comfortable and safe. Highly recommend this tour group. A huge shout out to Kareem, our driver. The trip back to Arusha was challenging because of market day traffic and he did a stellar job.

I embarked on an unforgettable journey with Dancing Simba Safaris from June 28th to July 3rd, 2024. My adventure spanned the diverse landscapes of Tarangire National Park, with its towering baobab trees and vast herds of elephants. The serene beauty of Lake Manyara offered a glimpse of playful baboons silhouetted against the setting sun, their chatter echoing through the trees. Long-necked giraffes stretched their elegant forms to feed on leaves high in the canopy. The awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, left me breathless. But it was the majestic Serengeti National Park that truly stole the show. Here, a seemingly endless sea of wild animals across the vast savanna, punctuated by the calls of gazelles and the watchful gaze of lions. The air vibrated with a symphony of bird calls.
With Dancing Simba's expert guides and comfortable accommodations, our diverse group from all corners of the globe (America, Africa - me from Ethiopia, Europe - Norway, Asia - China, and Australia) had an unforgettable safari experience. The shared thrill of encountering Tanzania's incredible wildlife fostered a sense of camaraderie that transcended cultural differences. Our safari jeep became a microcosm of the world, with six of us sharing stories and laughter. I, from Ethiopia, learned a lot from my fellows, while the thrill of spotting a pride of lions sparked lively discussions with our fellow travelers from Norway, America, and Australia.

A special thanks goes to Mr. David John, who ensured everything was perfectly organized, and to our incredible guide, Mr. Joseph. His knowledge and passion for Tanzanian wildlife made the experience truly unforgettable. He expertly explained the tour and the fascinating species of animals we encountered, bringing the wonders of the African savanna to life. This trip was more than just a good time; it was a transformative experience that deepened my appreciation for nature's wonders. From the vast plains teeming with life to the awe-inspiring heights of Kilimanjaro, where I challenged myself with a one-day hike to Mandara Hut, with a special thanks to my incredible guide who expertly paced me throughout the climb, Tanzania offered an unforgettable adventure.

Tanzania has cast its spell, and I know it won't be my last visit. Next time, I will be returning with my family for an unforgettable adventure. Together, we will:
    • Conquer the mighty Kilimanjaro, reaching the summit of Uhuru Peak.
    • Witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of the Great Migration.
    • Relax and soak up the beauty of Zanzibar's beaches.

We were going to tour the city by ourselves before our safari with Vision, but we got a little overwhelmed so we booked this and were so thankful! Our contact, Shebbie, at Vision was able to book us in last minute which was very kind and helpful. He took great care of us our whole time in Tanzania. Above and beyond!

Thomas, our guide, seemed to slide through the city as he showed us markets, the crowded bus station, and city sites. We saw things we would never find on our own. He knew everyone. So glad we did it!

This was the best way to spend our free day in Arusha . We booked this early morning tour and our guide was prompt in picking us from our hotel. The vegetation is awesome and the sparsely populated monkeys jumping from tree to tree. Though not many animals, but everything was great

I recently enjoyed a 4-day private safari tour with Nkollo Tours, which included visits to Materuni Waterfalls, a coffee tour, and Kikuletwa Hot Springs. The experience was unforgettable, offering breathtaking scenery, cultural immersion, and exceptional service. Materuni Waterfalls showcased nature's beauty, the coffee tour provided insights into Tanzanian culture, and Kikuletwa Hot Springs offered rejuvenation. Nkollo Tours' knowledgeable guides ensured a memorable and safe journey, making it a highly recommended safari adventure.

Visiting the "Seven Summits" is a dream for every climber. The opportunity to ascend these ancient peaks and absorb their powerful energy is a privilege that not everyone can afford. I was incredibly fortunate to have such an opportunity, climbing nearly 3,000 meters. The natural beauty here is breathtaking, and every step on the slope tests your capabilities. Being on one of the Seven Summits brings a special thrill—it’s a challenge unlike any other.

This day was made unforgettable thanks to Eduard, who revealed the magic of the mountain to us. We not only reached the summit but also, thanks to his benevolent assistance, were able to accomplish everything we had planned in Tanzania. Eduard organized our adventure, showed us the first level, and all the wonders of these places.

Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience and marvelous adventure!
