Entering the museum I was not convinced I would like it. I was glad I did.
It is very much worth a visit. More than one such museum in the city? No, that would grow old quickly.
It is not as much an exhibit as it is an EXPERIENCE.
The entrance fee is less than $15.
You will enter a few rooms filled with optical and light illusions. There are themes to all that as the displays are particular pieces of art by the artist whose manifestos you can read on walls.
The main area is a great room with chairs around it, on two levels. That’s where the grand light and color show takes place.
In any case - come and see for yourself.

Busan Museum displays the cultural heritage of Busan and Korea. The displays are well maintained but not everything has information in English, which is a pity. Lockers were provided on the ground level near the entrance, which was good for us when we visited in December 2023 as we stored our backpacks and winter clothing in there.

Busan Museum is a short stroll from the UN Memorial Cemetery in Busan, and a short walk from the subway station. Entry to the museum is free. Worth a visit when you have time.

This is a beautifully curated museum of Busan city. The 1st gallery covers the opening up of Busan to Japan. There's a lot of information about the unequal treaties between the two countries and the slow but opposed colonisation by Japan. The 2nd gallery is focused on the history of Busan following the Japanese defeat. Starting from the refugee crisis of the Korean war, then the development of Busan as an industrial centre, until finally ending with the democracy movement. There is an audio guide in different languages and I do recommend you use it because there's not a lot of English description in the exhibit. A fine museum with excellent exhibits on display.

A very interactive museum, it is fun and at the same time informative. I enjoyed a lot the green screen part were you got to act as if you were in a movie and choose any background. If you are interested in Korean/international movies I recommend this museum.

This is a special, and for me spiritual, place. I had an amazing visit and awesomel experience here today. Rev Park and his wife kindly showed me the different exhibits they have collected and displayed in this wonderful museum. They have quite an extensive collection of artifacts, photographs, and other realia covering the Jewish people, Israel, and the Holocaust. Most of all, I really enjoyed talking with them. They are good people, and I believe they have dedicated themselves to educating people here in Korea about Israel, the Jewish people and the evil of the Holocaust. They were so nice to me. The world needs more people like them.

The museum is build inside a building with a lot of history of Dong A University. Dong-A university is a famous university in Busan (and also in South Korea). It is really clean and well-laid out, but the location and usual displays don't make it worth the visit.

it's basically only a 1 hall of exhibition hall filled with miniature of ships from around the world. not really special, but enough to show the children and get them to know varieties of ships etc. with entrance fee of only 1 US$ per person, you've got nothing to loose.

This is a lovely museum to give visitors a taste of different Southeast Asian cultures. We were able to request a docent tour for our group. The permanent exhibition talks about art and traditions from all the ASEAN cultures. The current special exhibition shows different games and leisure activities from ASEAN cultures. There's also a virtual reality room so you can "visit" different sights. There are different virtual reality and interactive displays throughout the museum so you can take fun pictures. It's a fun and free way to spend a few hours!

Saw the 4 pictures on this site and thought I'd give it a go. It was quite a trip but worth every second. So much to see and do, could easily spend the full day. They have a cafe in the centre that was just perfect. Great for photos and all the pieces were so elaborate. You can tell it's still being added to.

some things are not labeled (or labeled wrong). Only 1000 if you go to the tower too so it's worth a few minutes, but without more signs I could not say longer--what was I looking at?
