- gd275Melbourne, Australia160 contributionsGreat place to visit close to city. Be prepared for many many steep stairs and hills. Exhausting, so allow plenty of time.Written September 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LastMinuteLarry446 contributionsWe've seen a lot of temples over the years, but this one is the first we have visited so close to the coast. Well worth a visit if you have a chance, if nothing else just for the location. The complex has many points of interest and is still a place of worship. Allow a couple of hours for your visit, and there are quite a few souvenir shops and cafes to visit near the temple entrance.Written September 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This temple is one of the representative temples in Busan, and it collects entrance fees when you drive into the car. It is very large, and many believers pray. It is a good place to look around slowly, and the atmosphere is good. It is a temple worth a visit in Busan.Written September 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. During the weekday night, the street stalls were more muted and some were not opened, as there was much less a crowd.
During the weekend, BIFF Square is packed so much so that there were traffic controllers manning the streets, ushering pedestrians off the roads when cars were approaching. There were many shopping options and many street stalls selling local snacks. We tried quite a few of these stalls and the food were generally nice. Definitely worth a visit.Written January 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of walking and exercise but followed up with some cakes and drinks!
Lovely scenery in the Geo Park
Great views from the observeratory.
The cafe is up the stairs and offers some tasty treats as well as a relaxing sit down observing the views.
The light house is a little further on. We only visited the outside as we couldn't handle any more stairs.
There is a little road train that you can get but it was closed ont he daybwe visited.
Outside the Geo Park is a road full of convenience stores, cafes and some touristy games etc.
In the Geo Park there were several toilets signposted along the route. Some of them were a bit off the main road/ path but there were some close to the start and observation deck too.
Bring layers. Even if it's chilly out - it's deceptive, as the walking warms you up and with layers, you can take them off as you go.Written April 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is named after a nearby beach. The ride is delightful and the views- beautiful. After arrival to the final station there is a nice cafe to relax in , a souvenir shop with rather strange selection of items. It is worthwhile to climb to a second level for photo opportunities of the viewing floor with art installations. We especially enjoyed the opportunity to hike a little in the area. If you are with kids you need to visit roaring dinosaurs on display. The exhibits and installations are rather eclectic, including an airplane and the little prince statue.
Highly recommended for the great views.Written August 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's definitely worth visiting to honor the deceased.Written July 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Melissa BSaint Louis, MO1,268 contributionsThe bridge is stunning! We got a good view of it from near the lighthouse. At the end of the day, it’s just a bridge to look at and not an activity. You might end up stumbling upon it while going to or from other tourist activities, so you don’t necessarily need to go out of your way to get close to it. At least we got a nice bubble tea in the area after getting our photos of the bridge.Written June 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 253SASingapore, Singapore3,379 contributionsThe skywalk is located at Songdo Beach and is a very very easy walk. Indeed, the entire skywalk trail is connected to the beach out to parts of the sea, with some places just above the water line. It gave the illusion to the person on the skywalk to be floating above the water. Through the gratings, you can actually see part of the sea floor. That is just beautiful.Written June 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HelenWanderlustSingapore, Singapore2,275 contributionsThis is an interesting horse-shoe shaped glass bridge which overlooks the ocean. One can take beautiful photos of the amazing cliffs. You put on booties over your shoes, to prevent scratches to the glass bridge. It is not crowded if you go in the late afternoon, so we had the bridge almost to our tour group only.Written March 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christian MCopenhagen, Denmark6,142 contributionsYongdusan Park is located a few steps - or an escalator ride - up a small hill in the middle of Busan.
From here, you can continue up to Busan Tower. And it's a decent place to spend about half an hour, taking a few photos of a beautiful dragon, a big bell, and a couple of other small things.
But you can't possibly spend much longer here. Suddenly, you're out again.Written May 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brando62Saint Paul, MN367 contributionsWe were on a cruise and took a shuttle bus into town which dropped us off near the fish market.
We strolled through the shops and alleys up toward the tower, took the steps and paths up to the base of the tower and purchased tickets.
The tower itself offers fantastic views of Busan and surrounding areas.
There were gamified activities to help keep younger visitors occupied but we focused on the views.
The walk to and from the tower was just as entertaining.Written April 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. One side is the modern restaurants, coffee shops and buildings ;the other side is the beautiful Haeundae beach with skyline.Written April 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jim A5 contributionsI'd just like to flesh out the description of the route from Oncheonjang Metro to the Temple, via the Cable Car and the South Gate, as it can be quite confusing.
From Oncheonjang Metro, exit on the west side, turn left (south) and walk to the next crossing of the main highway. Cross the highway and continue west up Geumganggongwon-ro. When you get to Geumgang Park, turn right and the park entrance is on your left. Walk in and follow the signs to the Cable Car station.
You can buy a single or a return ticket. If you are going to walk to Seokbulsa, you probably won’t want to return this way! (And don't forget the cable car is closed on Mondays).
When you get off the cable car at the top, follow the signs for the South Gate. Walk for about 2km. Keep to the well-trodden path. When you get to the gate, don’t go through (unless you want a quick look around). Instead, turn left and back on yourself and you’ll see a sign to the temple. Follow the path downhill for around 500m to the South Gate village. Basically it’s a shanty town of shacks and awnings. Then it’s a bit tricky. There is only one sign for Seokbulsa in the village. Once you have passed that, keep going in a straight line. The path will start to narrow. When you get to the first tennis court, turn right. The path is now quite narrow. Walk past more tennis courts but don’t be tempted to go into any of them. Stick to the path between them. As others have said, this the most difficult part of the walk, a couple of kms through the forest, mostly downhill, with a lot of rock-hopping. You need to be fairly fit and have good footwear. It’s not in great condition. Don’t be tempted to veer off course, just follow the stream downhill.
Finally you emerge on the hardtop road which is the main vehicle access to the temple. Turn right and start uphill. It’s a tough, 1km walk, zigzagging uphill, but at least the surface is much better than the path!
In total it took me about 1hr 45mins from Cable car to Temple.
When you've finished your visit, I’d recommend heading for Mandeok Metro station. Follow the hardtop road all the way down the hill until you get to the bus stop at Byeongpungsa Temple Entrance, then get the bus just one stop to Mandeok Metro. I’d recommend the bus because the pavements here are not safely separated from the highway.Written September 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
