What travelers are saying
- scubacol11Rotherham, UK2,238 contributionsThere are not many market stalls here, mainly food stalls serving a good range of street food at great prices, if you want shopping there are loads to choose from out on the main road. We only go for the Martabak which is like a big fried omelette with different fillings plus the banana and Nutella pancakes from the same stall, absolutely lush and great value.Written December 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susan S2 contributionsGood shopping centre with really good places to eat or just have a drink. Shops were ok,,a good few local ones rather than international ones. - Adventurer3122607 contributionsBrowsing eating bargaining and having fun, this place is worth a look not too great for the unsteady folk as it's a bit up and down but the friendly locals will help out! For the fitter of us it's brilliantWritten May 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Shelly101060Arundel, Australia78 contributionsLove shopping at Matahari when in Bali. Unfortunately the store in Kuta has shut down since Covid so took a trip to Denpasar to visit this store. Was not disappointed. Large assortment of shoes & men’s wear which is what we had come for. Only disappointment was there was no grocery department at this store.Written April 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lorraine JTakayama, Japan24 contributionsJust come back from Ramayana Mall. This is the best place to go to buy shoes, clothing, kids wear. No bartering, fixed price but cheap. Also there is a Skechers second store there and I bought them for around $50 pair. But also if you have time, on the top floor there is a massage place. I got the best massage there - 1 hour cost 75,000 Rp. Well worth it.Written October 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mcfrowenRunaway Bay, Australia81 contributionsThis is a nice local market at the bottom of Hotel Mercure garden next to the beach. It has a range of stalls selling local products, together with an area providing a range of food. There is also an area where a number of live shows are performed; when we were there they were doing a Balinese dance. The products were very similar to those available in the various shops around Sanur, and the prices much the same as well.
This is not on the must see and do list for Sanur, but certainly a nice way to spend a couple of hours if you are there the last Sunday of the month. The location is great, and to wander around and have a bite to eat is a pleasant way to fill the time.Written October 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A couple of people doing a beautiful hard work next to a huge shop. Very interesting technique to create the hand crafted batik products.Written November 3, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vincent vAmsterdam, The Netherlands24 contributionsThe shop and museum are worth the visit. Those silver dragons are unbelievable and the detail on the keris is magnificent. Watching the workers make silver jewelry is very special. Prices in the shop are high but the choice is unbelievable.Written May 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We have found the fresh foods to be just that and have never had any reason to complain before, other than the horrendously slow checkout, but yesterday 18/12/2018 after doing a large shop and handing over my credit card at check out, as have always done , I was informed that Lotte no longer accepts credit cards, which was enforced one week ago. I couldn’t believe that a shopping Mart the size of Lotte has stopped allowing credit cards, bear in mind that this Mart is primly wholesale shopping that caters for large Hotels/Villa's orders etc., so any check out bill would run into RP millions, ours was Rp 8.6 Million but as I couldn’t pay via credit card, and nowhere near enough cash, and as there is only the one ATM that will let you draw out Rp50.000, I had no choice but to leave our big shopping and wasted two hours. Within reason we have enjoyed doing our fortnight shopping at Lotte, but as they no longer, for whatever reasons, accept credit cards, we and I would think along with many other customers will be shopping elsewhereWritten December 19, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
