A very treasured memory experience. Stopped by without notice with a local driver and one of the nuns were kind enough to give us a tour of the facility when requested. We didn't want to interrupt lunch but were able to say hello and namaste to the residents. It's clear it's a very tidy and clean facility, people staying who as the nun said have no other family. Were able to meet a lady who is married and has a family, was educated and grew up in the orphanage, she understood and spoke great Englis. The nuns rotate around the world, clearly those we met care about their devotion and helping the residents get on their feet to have a good life. Was really touching to see the work of Mother Teresa live on. Suggest coming with some biscuits/fruit/stationary if feel inclined for the residents. No member of staff mentioned offering a financial gift, when we asked if able a receipt was given. Meaningful work in this space.

A lovely Sikl pilgrimage place to visit. Very close to Gurdwara Guru ka Tai so I suggest visiting both.
This place is a bit off the beaten path as far as tourist go so definitely worth a visit to see something other than Hindu temples.

Dayal Bagh seemed a welcome change- a Remarkably calm and peaceful oasis in midst of madness of the bustling city of Agra. The newly completed temple is worth a visit

WHEN I walked into one building at Jama Masjid I felt like I was on the set of some Hollywood blockbuster which had created a strange alien environment.
Carved beams criss-crossed overhead with unusual carved decorations beneath each intersection.
It was not the first surprise that a tour of Fatehpursikri would throw at me.
Jama Masjid is a 16th century mosque, one of the largest in India, and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The courtyard is gigantic, covering more than 230,000 sq ft.
Be warned. You have to take your shoes off to be allowed in, women must wear long gowns and men in shorts will be asked to wear a wrap which can be hired at the entrance.

At the Swami Bagh there are a number of satsang specific buildings on the grounds. The most significant of which is the Samadhi of Soamiji Maharaj. Adjacent to the Samadh is Bhajan Gar where Soamiji Maharaj performed the spiritual practices and satsang is also held once per day.On the grounds of Soami Bagh is the home of Babuji Maharaj where Satsang is held twice each day. The descendents of Babuji Maharaj live here to this day.Next to Babuji's house and adjacent to the main gate is the humble quarters where Sant Das lived and work.. There are other buildings which provide kitchen facilities for Bhandara festivals held at Soami Bagh several times per year. These festivals commemorate the departure of the past Sant Sat Gurus and are attended by Satsangis from all over the world.

I always had the desire to visit Bateshwar, the abode of Shiva while crossing Agra - Lucknow expressway and finally made a decision to take a detour one day and it was worth it.

Its a set of some 40 temples out of which only few can be visited but the place is so peaceful on the banks of Yamuna that it attracts you towards it.It is generally not very crowded and one can sit on the banks of Yamuna in the early morning or evenings.

Do carry your own stuff to eat and there are no proper toilets and stay arrangements.I wish such an important place (mentioned in many religious scriptures) is better maintained!

The Kailash Mandir in Bainpur Mustkil, Agra, is a serene and spiritually uplifting place. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a prominent religious site for devotees. The architecture of the temple is simple yet elegant, creating a peaceful atmosphere for worship and meditation. Surrounded by greenery, it offers a refreshing environment that enhances the overall experience.

The temple hosts special celebrations during Shivratri and Mondays, attracting large numbers of devotees. It is well-maintained, and the cleanliness adds to its charm. Whether you are a devotee or simply seeking a tranquil spot for self-reflection, Kailash Mandir is a great place to visit in Agra.

Balkeshwar Mandir is the temples devoted to Shiva. It is located in Balkeshwar Colony on the banks of river Yamuna..This Shiva temple is spread across the sprawling acres of land. The temple organizes bhajans and kirtans daily. One can reach this temple easily by hiring an auto rickshaw or a cab after reaching Agra.

It is a small mosque built by Shah Jahan for his own and his selected royal ladies. It is made up of white marble and is situated in the southwest of the Diwan-i-Khas.It has a small open court in front of the three arched prayer Chamber. The court is paved with alternate squares of marble and Jasper slabs. The structure is plain and simple and secured on all sides by lofty walls, which indicate its use by royal ladies.
