if you're in Udaipur and the weather is nice, this is a lovely way to spend an hour or so...on a rather crowded boat. We had a great experience seeing some of the main sites of Udaipur from the lake. Half of our time was spent at the cafe on the island (not the Lake Palace) drinking coffee waiting for a return boat to the shore

This is a very old Haveli built in Mewar architecture. The museum displays numerous old items used by the residents of the Haveli. The main attraction is the cultural show organised in the courtyard of the Haveli. The timing was from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm and the ticket for one Indian adult is ₹ 100/= only. The show was superb showcasing the famous dance forms of Rajasthan with Kathputli show. One has to reach approx. 60 mins. before the show to purchase the ticket. The tickets of the show are available only at the counter and not online. A must item in the itinerary of Udaipur visit.

Free to enter this temple. Beautifully carved marble exterior. People were performing ceremonies inside while we were visiting. Beware of a guy trying to take you into a side door off the temple to sell you paintings. He is a scam artist widely spoken about on this site. We went in and I saw the paintings at the end of the room and as he started to explain about some paintings on the wall we turned around and left.

Om Namah Shivay ! Beautiful location / temple and can be visited while going in or coming out of Udaipur. There are 108 small temples in the premises but visistors are not allowed in the area behind the main temple.

A must visit temple to seek blessings and learn about the historical charismatic legacy of lord Krishna.
Visitors must go to the top terrace after walking thru the ground floor temple to complete their visit.

good enough for a stop and photos if doing a boat tour of Pichola Lake. The coffee was good, but I think the employees at the cafe were a bit overwhelmed with customers. It was a lovely day, so the stop was extra nice.

Wow. So much going on here at this museum. The initial gallery of armaments and weapons was almost enough for the whole visit and that is just the first room! Of many many many. This is really a HUGE collection of art, artifacts, history, photos, paintings, musical instruments, etc. etc. etc. It's a bit overwhelming. Budget plenty of time or several visits so as to not get worn out.

There a beautiful serene garden with a gorgeous tree somehow on one of the top floors of the museum. How!!! It's a lovely place to take a break.

Sort of openair live museum/market. Paid lokal guide to show us around which was very informative and interesting. Nice handicraft on sale and several music and dancing performances. Everyone very friendly.

The views of the surrounding areas should be great from this place but the day we visited it was was quite hazy. The palace itself does not offer much and is quite underwhelming. The main attraction is the view. The garden also provides bit of a breathing space if one can avoid the selfie crowd. There is a restaurant at the entrance of the palace but we didn't try their food. The entry fee is INR 300 per car and INR 155 per person if you are Indian. We saw a number of gray langurs roaming around the garden but they did not disturb the tourists. Can not call it a must visit place but we found it quite nice.

Animals Aid Unlimited are doing an amazing job. As someone with some years of experience of NGO work, I can confidently say that this place is pretty well organized. Next to their actual rescue work (which some people in the review section seem to forget, is their primary function) they give insightful tours.

For any tourist to India, if you have 2-3 hrs in Udaipur to spare, visit the center and learn why there are so many street dogs in India, how Cows are really treated in commercial dairy farms and how animal rights are neglected. It is totally worth the visit and does not cost you a dime. Come and learn.

thank you guys and keep up the good work!
