Khajuraho is basically divided in group of temples. This temples are blessed with great architecture. It also has a depiction of certain books as well. worship is not allowed in this temples.

Western group of temples are the best amongst all and one can easily spend 3- 4 Hours.

Jain and Eastern groups temples are on the other side of the town .

    A must visit

This is probably the biggest of all temples in western group of temples. Its an Epitome of our history.

ASI and GOVT has done a great job to maintain this world heritage site. One should visit Khajuraho once in there life time

This temple doesn't belong to the famed western group of temples hence you need to drive down a bit to visit this stunning piece of architecture.

Beautiful temple with a serene and calm atmosphere. The most surprising aspect was carvings of Hindu gods on a Jain temple.

The Adinath Temple is a Jain Temple and is a part of the Eastern Group of Temples. The idol inside is black. It is a beautiful temple and a must visit . We had to take our shoes off , but I don’t think it is compulsory unless visiting the sanctum sanctorum.

This temple is dedicated to the sun god Surya. It’s very similar to the adjacent Devi Jagdamba. The main thing I liked about this temple is the better preserved relief sculptures of surasundari, or the Hindu understanding of an idealized female form.

This temple is a Hindu temple in eatern group of temples of Khajuraho. The temple sits on a high and grand platform considering the relatively small size of the temple. The temple is in excellent condition, surprising considering this temple is well off the main tourist circuit in Khajuraho. The temple is richly decorated with almost full relief sculptures of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The inside and sanctum are small. It’s almost as equally ornate as the exterior, just with less. Inside the sanctum is the idol Vishnu, albeit headless.
