- Igor EidlerTel Aviv, Israel44 contributionsDon’t miss the chance to visit the Medellin Botanical Gardens. It’s free and absolutely stunning. While the entire city of Medellin boasts lush, jungle-like greenery, the gardens offer a unique and tranquil escape that’s well worth your time. The richness and biodiversity here are truly astounding. We spent two hours simply walking around and appreciating the beautiful, well-kept nature. Highly recommended!Written June 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- T WFort Lauderdale, FL87 contributionsParque Arví is a sprawling nature reserve located just outside Medellín, Colombia.
The park covers almost 40 acres (approximately 16,000 hectares) of dense forest, plants, and ecosystems.
It’s situated on top of a hill, offering sweeping views of the surrounding area.
We took the short hike with an English speaking, experienced tour guide, Oscar! He was very entertaining and pointed out endemic species like birds, butterflies and orchids amidst the lush forest. We took the most scenic way to get there by riding Medellín’s Metrocable L Line (requires a separate ticket from the standard metro line). Whether you’re interested in nature, history, or simply enjoying the outdoors, Parque Arví is a must-visit when in Medellín! 🌿🏞️Written August 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There’s a lovely atrium/plaza area in the middle and plenty of places to sit, including some with tables. Much of the mall is open-air via the wide, open entry and exit points throughout. And I took advantage of the ample workstations on the first floor with outlets and lockers, although I believe using the outlets required a small fee, as did the lockers. Still a nice touch.
I highly recommend a visit here, especially on a rainy or hot day!Written July 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Perfect for a picnic or walk about. You can pay for the garden tour alone or also include the tour of the castle. The castle is beautiful filled with historical furniture and antiques owned by the family that donated the site to serve as a museum. The balconies are wonderful for seeing picturesque views of Medellin. I am planning to return soon!!Written June 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SF GuySan Francisco, CA1,036 contributionsNice park surrounded by restaurants, bars and clubs. The park it’s self is just ok but it’s in the center of everything is what makes it so good. I will warn you that there are rats in the park and you will see them run past you.Written January 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a great place to stop for a day or two but be aware that you need to have your transport out of the place, pre booked because you can't just flag down a bus!Written May 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IrvBellevue, WA5 contributionsThis tour exceeded our expectations. We learned a lot about the history of coffee and how it started in Colombia. In addition, our guide Dani and Alexa taught us the process from planting, harvest, filtering, drying, roasting, and then tasting.
We got to harvest our own coffee fruit in the hills and understand the art and complexity of the entire process.
The lovely people at the farm cooked us a wonderful home-cooked meal where all the ingredients came from the farm. At the end, we did a tasting tour and tried various coffee - with the natural and honeyed our favorite.
Highly recommend this tour, and shoutout to Dani for being such a fantastic guide. 5/5Written January 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But my goodness by the evening it is such a vibrant, throbbing, busy area with some cracking restaurants and bars around..
Lots of performance artists and music give it a great vibe, it couldn't be more different from when it was daytime!Written July 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
