We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the ranch, about a 3 hour drive.
During the drive we made a few stops, first to get some coffee, then our second stop was to get some breakfast, then we got to the ranch and had some refreshments while the horses were being prepped.
The ranch is beautiful and the 6 hour ride was broken up a few times to have lunch under the trees, where we saw birds and monkeys. We also had another stop to try the fresh water from the stream that came up to a small well in the ground, and our final stop was to let the horses drink water and we were provided lemonade and coffee.
When we finished our tour we were offered another snack and then we headed back to our hotel.

Daniel picked us up early in the morning from our hotel in Medellin from where we drove an hour or so to Cocorna. Daniel is such a friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable guide. He told us all about Colombian culture and living on our way there and just before arrriving we stopped at an awesome waterfall viewpoint. We were welcomed at his home with an amazing breakfast and got to try delicious fruits from their garden. On our way to the national park we got to see authentic Colombian villages, wildlife (monkeys, snakes, toucans) and waterfalls. Swimming in the rio melchocho was so refreshing and relaxing, and the lunch was excellent. On our way back we drove through the beautifull mountains of Cocorna during golden hour and enjoyed some great music together. It was an unforgetable experience. - Paradise417429615804 contributionsMy family and me had the greatest time at corazon de leon! Learned everything about how coffee is grown, harvested, cultivated, processed, roasted, and sold. The staff was excellent! We ate lunch there and enjoyed some of the best coffee i've ever had. Guided tours are available in english which helped because im a beginner in spanish.

I will have no hesitation in using Bruce again next year on my return to Colombia, reassured in my mind that i will be getting the very best experience. Day 1 was a leisurely drift along to our campsite where the team had already set up our hammocks under a tarp and were busy preparing dinner while we enjoyed a glass of wine by the river. We spent mos5 of day 2 on the river. The rapids were great fun, with plenty of opportunities to swim in between. We felt safe at all times and well looked after by the expert guides. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. - Michele M2 contributionsWhat a perfect, action packed, mindful day! I was picked up from my hotel and taken on a beautiful drive to the paragliding location. The paragliding itself was breathtaking, we flew alongside birds with waterfalls in front of us and the valley, speckled with horses and cows, below. Then we had a delicious traditional lunch and set off to hike up, with amazing views all along the way, to the falls. There we washed away the past in the invigorating falls, and sat for a meditation guided with the sound of flutes and drums and meditation bowls. I couldn't ask for a better guide or a better blending of immersion in nature and adventure. I can't recommend this enough! - 1marylou1Pewaukee, WI55 contributionsOur Kimkim tour guide and driver took us to La Miel where we had a tour guide who knows the Natural Reserve Hike, Lena. Lena is from the area and informed us (guide Maria interpreted for us) of the area, the flora, fauna and geography and history. The hike can be almost treacherous, but as an agile, 72 year old, I did well and enjoyed this. Go when not too hot - we were lucky to have a light rain early on - watch your step and enjoy the views - superb and well worth doing! Luis was really knowledgeable, We learned a lot about colombia and its history in an enjoyable way. He is a really respectful, fun person it felt like he was another member in our group.
