Steven is the best tour guide in Medellin, by far! I've been coming to Medellin for the last 8 years and have been on many different tours, with many different tour guides. Steven is the best! He really shows you all of the things that other tour guides don't and the history that comes with it.

He's always so accommodating and makes you feel like you're apart of the family. He knows all of the best places to eat, see, and be in Medellin!

I've known Steven for the last 4 years and always try to make an opportunity to see him when I'm in town. I couldn't recommend him more, to anyone who is traveling to Medellin!

I've fished twice with FishColombia. Fairly straightforward booking process. You can easily have all your questions answered by by phone, and the website is fairly comprehensive with itineraries, tackle suggestions, pictures, FAQ, etc.

My first trip was in November 2023 staying at the Darien Lodge. The airport pick-up in Medellin , good hotels, internal flights, all taken care of and well coordinated. Great restaurants and bars in Medellin, if that's your thing. In Punta Ardita, you see the beautiful, first rate lodge right off the beach. Well prepared meals, sashimi, drinks, comfortable beds, etc. It's all there. The lodge staff is really cool and takes care of you. For a fishing lodge, it's really nice. The boat captains and guide know the area well and will put you on fish. The inshore cubera were a no-show for me, but did get a few roosters, snook, many jacks, and raised a couple tarpon. Some good reef spots too, jigging Amberjacks and grouper. Offshore, we did very well on tuna and mahi-mahi, fishing stickbaits and poppers. Biggest average size Mahi I have seen anywhere -- 30, 40 lbs no problem. I got a nice personal best 68 lb bull. Fishing is fishing and not everyone may have the same experience, but if you want near solitude and low fishing pressure, in an area that few have had the privilege of visiting, then do it.

Second trip to Orinoco lodge last week. Same really good logistics and coordination. An adventure just to get there, and I loved it. The Orinoco river and rapids are just spectacular, with ospreys and kingfishers hunting all around. The lodge is obviously more rustic, but you will have good bedding, mosquito nets, fans, etc. They do have Starlink for internet connection, and was even able to call back home for some check-ins. Worked well, but you are far away, so don't expect it to always work. Super cool to fish with the Indigenous captains and guides and get to know their land. Lots of casting all day, but you will get your fantasy vampire fish / payara. Also landed some catfish, piranha, and many sardinata.

Going upriver and further in the lagoons, brings you closer into the dense jungle with lots of opportunities for sightfishing and working structure. Fishing peacock bass is such a treat and so much fun with their explosion and power. Got in good numbers daily on different lures and presentations, and the guides will suggest to you what may work best. Everyone is there for the big tanks, and they are around. Over several days of fishing, landed a bunch in the 9-15 lb range.

Again, lost of wildlife around the rivers. Caymans, river dolphins, nutria, tapir, many birds.

Great trip, but do come prepared -- you are in the jungle/savanna. It can get very hot and the mosquitos and sand flies will try get you. Long sleeve and cover everything, mosquito repellent, and drink water and gatorade all day.

I used Colombia Paddlers for an airport pick-up at night. I had a family and a lot of bags, so could not take a normal taxi. I contacted CP who were able to provide the service for a similar price to the airport taxis. Carl was in touch by WhatsApp the entire time, and as soon as we had collected our bags brought the car down to pick us up outside the terminal entrance. He provided a large vehicle that easily fitted all our bags.

On time, reasonable price and in constant communication ensured everything went smoothly.
